Blue hour magic is eluding me🤔

Anyway, we went to all the temples we could, with what we were wearing today😅 And man, they like their temples here, so many of them and so huge!!😲
.
We rode a tuktuk, a ferry, but mostly the grab taxi, that is the uber of south-east Asia🙌
.
Food is the best here👌 And I had the sweetest coconut ever 🥥 And coconut icecream♥️ And super sweet matcha latte🤔🤔😅 with cat face on it, so I was still happy🤷‍♀️

Flower market was magical too in the evening✨ My feet are hurting, but it was worth it☺️

Plus a special part dedicated to the position of elbows👆 I don’t care where your palms are, but make sure the elbows are directly under the shoulders, not just because of the safety of your shoulder joints, but also because then your head is higher away from the floor, so in the case you fall, there is enough room left for you to tuck the chin in and you don’t break your neck😂😂😂 Naah just kidding, you will not break anything, but anyway it’s safer🤷‍♀️ Plus the elbows definitely tend to slide open, which is often the case, when they are already wider😏

I would never believe you, if you told me a year ago, that backbends can be painless🙈 That it is possible for my body to do an unsupported standing backbend or camel pose without pinching pain in my lower spine😲

@talia_sutra ‘s teaching of backbends and yoga in general is unique and at the same time very natural💁‍♀️ I can hear her words each time I practice deep #backbends and hard inversions✨ She taught me so much already and left the deepest impact in my practice to this day🙏

My favorite quotes I repeat to myself like a mantra: “no hesitation” and of course “it’s easy!” - although the second one is from someone else originally, but I consider it her own now🤷‍♀️☺️

Decided to share a 20 minutes long part taken from my morning practice💁‍♀️

Trying not to be too much on my hands and wrists, so I could spend more time in the handstands🤔 And at the very end you can see how the whole handstand practice looks like🧐
Not just the short 15 second hold I share these days in the stories😉

Your practice don’t have to look elegant, or fluid, and you don’t need to think about it too much - the most think that matters is that you show up on your mat consistently and you do your best♥️

I planned to walk closer with my legs, but this challenge is more about the pets, and honestly I didn’t have energy for a deeper backbend anyway🤷‍♀️ #kindnessforall

I picked this pose as my favorite, even though I don’t practice it often, but thanks to this pose I was extremely motivated to work on opening my shoulders and upper back and therefore got rid of pinching pain in my shoulders, and low back in many other backbends and most importantly I can do pincha and fall back because of this one🙌
.
This pose clearly showed me, that you need to actually understand your body and be patient with it💁‍♀️ It’s not about the pose, but the journey😊

Another day, another pose for the #kindnessforall challenge, this time with a favorite way to invert myself🙌

Today I used the treats - Emo removing himself right away after I started to go into the pose of course, but I don’t blame him😅 Gusto stayed, because he loves morning sun💁‍♀️

The interesting thing was, the more I tried this straight version of #pinchamayurasana , the more I was bending in my low back🧐

Third day of #kindnessforall is a #pigeonpose with your pet☺️

Clearly Gusto wasn’t too eager to snuggle with me while yoga (photoshooting), so I brought some treats and suddenly they both came😅
.
Kindness for all can be not only presented towards the animals, but also towards the people in our lives🤔 I just had an hour long call with my mom, and it felt strange✨ We never used to talk too much, our family was silent, we didn’t know what to talk about or more importantly how to talk and communicate our feelings🙈 And feelings are everything when you live together with someone🙌 Especially if it is someone who you love, you need to work hard on your relationship the same as you work hard on achieving a yoga pose🧐 It felt really good to communicate her some of my thoughts, I am not sure I helped her in any way😏 But I hope at least something will change for better💁‍♀️

Aaaah, upward dog! 🐶 #zgungstutorials

Another pose, that you will see people underestimating - especially dangerous thing to do with a pose, that is repeated so often during a #vinyasa classes🙈
.
The #upwarddogpose is supposed to be there for you to open the front body - even maybe the first backbend you learn🧐
.
And in order to open the front, you need to learn to engage the back - except maybe the low spine area! That one is already hyperextended in many people, the discs in the lumbar spine are super sensitive, and susceptible to damage over our lives🙌 So protect it at all costs!
.
To do that, there are two tricks:
1. engaging the front core = ribs in, belly pulls in and up
2. do not let your knees to turn outside - by this external rotation, the big gluteus maximus muscles on your butt are engaging and pressing hard into the sacrum, deepening the backbend in the low back🤦‍♀️ so in order to engage only the right butt muscles - keep the knees turning inward slightly❤️
.
