Walking - we do it every day 👣 one of the most natural movements for humans and animals. But what happens when this activity of daily life becomes painful, burdensome and challenging. This has been my experience for the last few years. Walking (and even standing) are often painful experiences. I have to think about every little micro movement to avoid pain. Therapeutic journeys take time - this week's standing series are helping me and my clients find #painfree #movement 🤞🏻🤞🏿✌🏽
🔑 strengthen glute medius. Standing on #reformer blue or more spring @balanced_body focus on pressing through all four corners of foot while moving from upper leg bone.
🔑 press into #magiccircle or #fitball to engage deep core and lift through #pelvicfloor 🔑zip up adductors/inner thighs visualizing inner ankle bone up to pubic bone. 🔑 advanced option add a twist keeping glutes firing in order to maintain hips square and stable. 🔑 8 reps press out. 8 reps twist towards footbar. 8 reps twist towards back of Reformer. 🔑 listen to verbal cues
