Being a mother is hard; taking care of yourself as a mother trying to balance life is even harder. This is my #8weekpostpartum progress. I gained 39lbs this pregnancy and have lost 29lbs so far. My core still has a lot of loose skin that I'm working on toning (I'm flexing here 🤗). I've been working out for 2 1/2 weeks, 6 days a week, hitting cardio and weights but still have 10lbs to go to be at my pre-pregnancy weight.
For me, this isn't race or competition to see who can lose the baby weight the fastest, I'm simply sharing my progress. I don't have it all together, I'm just a regular mom trying to stay healthy while trying to balance life like everyone else. I'm nursing and pumping daily, eating proper portion meals every 2-3 hours, and drinking a gallon of water a day. It's not an easy process but I'm enjoying my journey. I just started my 30-day fitness challenge with @juicefit3 to melt off these last few pounds. His meal plan has made such a difference in my weight loss this time around. This diet is totally different than what you typically think of as a diet ladies (completely starving ourselves); I'm still eating every 2-3 hrs to build up my metabolism and keep my milk supply up.
I'm really excited to try something new and push my body further than I have before. I know there are some women that have "snapped back" much faster and some women that took years to achieve their goal; either way you can do it. With discipline and dedication you can achieve your fitness goals whether they are to have a rock hard abs or just be healthy and happy. You can do it ladies!
