I am so PUMPED to announce that I am working with a new start up company @soulsglobal !!! . They are a clothing line that brings in hand made shoes from Guatemala and has artists paint original artwork on it! We support Guatemalan craftsmanship and create wearable art for you! It was difficult to learn how to paint on the texture of the shoe, but I am so happy with the final piece! I'll be starting the next pair soon. Is this something you would wear? . To find out more about this piece and this new project check out the original post @soulsglobal I look forward to making and sharing more shoes! . #shoe#sneaker#geisha#japan#Akrylic#painting#sakura#cherryblossum#artistsoninstagram
My first water color painting in a year! . This past year or two I've been really exploring everything from sculpture to abstract acrylic to digital rendering and it all came back to water color and a little gouache. I'm super happy that I've taken the time to work things out, and it has all brought me back to my roots - pencil drawing and watercolors. My bread and butter. . I'm definitely shaking off some rust with this one and I will continue to explore these funky techniques. I hope you enjoy me back in your feed. Much more to come. I'm super excited to share it with you!
The Stag stands firm *** Fridged January cold. Looking toward the horizon steady and somewhat dreamy in the face of what may come, be it lush green opportunity or danger. The Stag stands firm. . . . . This has been my mantra durring a tough psychological winter. I find myself caught between who I am, and who I think I should be. Stand tall, pick a direction and walk until this path doesn't serve me any longer. It's the only thing I can do. How do you? #stag#drawing#deer#illustration#illustratorsoninstagram#sketch#dailyart#sketchoftheday#pencilsketch#graphite
"Peace Tree" installation I am working on for Edwards Church in Framingham. This is about 30 hours of cutting 200+ recycled aluminium cans. I've had the help of 6 volunteers over the past month. Thank you all who donated cans and participated in the piece so far. 10 days left to sculpt the shape of the tree onto chicken wire and mount all the pieces to be shown at the Weekend of Spirit. I still need your cans and some extra hands so DM me if you want to help complete this sculpture. It's crunch time!
