Ever done a huge purge of your closet? Well, then you totally know what kept me busy the last two days. Yes, two days ๐Ÿคฃ. It was totally easy to separate the stuff I want to keep from the stuff I maybe want to keep. That took me approx โ€ฆ 3 hours. But of course I had to dress and undress and redress to decide if I want to keep that stuff from the maybe pile or if Iโ€™m really ready to let go of it ๐Ÿ™ˆ.

This outfit is still on the YAY or NAY pile. I havenโ€™t worn it for โ€ฆ 2 years or more and tbh I totally forgot about it. But when I pulled it out #nicememories ๐Ÿ˜œ. What do you think. Should I keep it? Should I give it away? Let me know in the comments.

oooh .. I wanted to post Day 23 for # UntangleMe so badly but .. my hip is really meh lately and especially the left one needs a break ๐Ÿ. The pose Carmen gave us today needs a lot of intense hip opener and she canโ€™t pay me enough to convince me ๐Ÿคฃ. Just kidding .. I have to skip this day. Maybe after a rest for a couple of days I catch up on it .. but I doubt it ๐Ÿ˜‰.

I saw this #CrowPose for the #LeagueOfExtraordinaryYogis a lot today in my feed and you know me. I looove to play with #Bakasana. And this one is a good one to play with. Couldnโ€™t get as high as Kate did but this was the highest I could keep my forearms together. Seriously Kate, how did you do it? ๐Ÿ˜ณ.

Some of you ask me what my morning practice looks like. Well, basically itโ€™s all about moving the spine in every possible direction (lateral stretches, twists, forward folds, backbends and elongation) ๐Ÿ˜‰.

I am a huge fan of holding poses for quite some breaths. Personally I find it more efficient than rushing through the poses. But thatโ€™s maybe only me. The breath count gives me time to travel through the pose, to explore it, to measure it, to breathe into it, to grow with it. As always itโ€™s not a matter of how long you spend time in a pose. Itโ€™s a matter of knowing how to use the time you spend in a pose ๐Ÿ˜‰.

My last post for #Dreas30minutes shows the pose I begin my morning routine, with a forward fold. Because Iโ€™m terrible at sitting still for longer than 15 second I use this to hang in there for a 5 min meditation. Who said you have to sit for meditation, ey? ;)

#FullWheel or #UrdhvaDhanurasana is normally the last pose to close my #MorningPractice before I do the fancy stuff ๐Ÿ˜‚. Between the Forward Fold and the Full Wheel are of course some simple poses to prepare my body for this. I will show and explain more in upcoming posts soon.

Todayโ€™s was the hardest thing Iโ€™ve done so far. I only used my sacrum aligner before I got up into wheel. I donโ€™t recommend at all getting into #UpwardBow without any warm up. Iโ€™m a terrible example here but please #DontTryThisAtHome ๐Ÿ™ˆ. If you do, BE GENTLE and treat yourself with lots of RESPECT ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ.
. ๐ŸŽฌSLIDE 2 shows my wheel prep on a wheel prop and two (out of some more) poses I think are important for my backbends. ๐ŸŽฌSLIDE 3&4 are tutorials I already did in the past (๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผcheck #DreasBeginnerTips and #DreaIsTeaching for a full description).

The wheel at 730am is not the wheel I can achieve in the afternoon or after an hour or two of practicing. But itโ€™s the wheel of a 30 min practice. Nothing special, nothing fancy. Just a spine ready to rock the day ๐Ÿ˜Ž.

Having the wall on the side where I usually cartwheel out is super weird but it seems it makes me work harder on my handstands ๐Ÿ˜‚. The handstand was more stable and solid (hence more time to get those #EagleLegs) than the other way ๐Ÿ˜Ž.

Havenโ€™t done an ayurvedic post in a while and thought Iโ€™d share my favourite way to scrub my face with the turmeric scrub of @ylloscrub โœจ.

The instruction says โ€žStay yellow, dance around, scare your friendsโ€œ .... so Iโ€™m just doing that ๐Ÿ˜‚.

What I like the most about this is that I could totally use it for cooking ๐Ÿ˜‚. Itโ€™s made of turmeric with its powerful anti-inflammatory effects. It is a very strong antioxidant, too. Chickpea flour (for a flawless glowing skin), coconut oil (of course this HAS to be in it ๐Ÿ˜‰), cane sugar and sea salt (exfoliation), pure vitamin E oil (prevents and repairs free radical damage) and essential lemon oil (to check wrinkles and fine lines. It has astringent properties and can shrink large pores by reducing sebum production).

And on top of that โ€ฆ itโ€™s all natural, vegan and cruelty free. My kind of product ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ˜Ž.

Took this pic after teaching a private (one-on-one individual session). I love teaching privates. There is nothing more uplifting for me to see my clients transforming over time. Today was super special for me and without invading the privacy of the teacher-student-relationship I think I can tell you that I felt super proud of my client. She did her very first wheel of her entire life at the age of 55 (she started with yoga only a year ago). How incredible is this? Iโ€™m so impressed by her #feelinginspired ๐Ÿ˜.

Regular shoulderstand is not in my #yogapractice at all for several reasons. One of those reasons (although not the most important one) is that I donโ€™t like the strain on my neck. Last time I did a similar pose I used the wall for help to get it.

Today Iโ€™m using my #FeetUpTrainer. Itโ€™s my second favourite prop to play with. What I like the most is that it relaxes my shoulders and neck, it decompresses my cervical spine while doing inversions so that I can focus on the core and on the inversion itself. Itโ€™s almost too easy to use. Even if you donโ€™t have any prior yoga experience. Isn't that amazing? For this one I had to โ€žfightโ€œ for .. eeek, I thought I can hold this high side plank on my left side so that I can do the lotus with the right leg (the not so funky hip ๐Ÿ˜). It turned out I have to do it the other way. Canโ€™t get that angle needed in my left hip joint. Therefore I had to warm up a lot to convince my left side to open enough for that lotus shape. And in addition *hmpf* I had to twist to the โ€žotherโ€œ side, my non-dominant side ๐Ÿ˜ค. I can tell you. That smile is beyond real. I could even redo it (after my winter fat has gone I got some spring rolls and they wanted a shout out ๐Ÿคฃ). Truly happy I got this today. Now I need some couch asana and a good movie ๐Ÿ“บ).
