Yoga nidra or yogic sleep is a sleep-like state experienced during a lengthy mediation. It is equivalent to four hours of sleep and can be a remedy for tension, anxiety, and chronic pain.
In a yoga nidra, your body will begin to lose sensations and start to relax.
The sound of your teacher’s voice becomes distant and muffled. You begin to melt into the floor and probably note during the hour that you have
drifted in and out of sleep at one point or another.
When you begin to come back to your senses, just as the meditation comes to a close, you rise
noticing an amazing surge of peaceful energy flowing through your entire body
allowing you to feel a state of wholeness and rejuvenation.
