This is the face of a girl who is soooo over being sick (I’ve had a cold/ flu for over 2.5 weeeks) and would love nothing more than to get back to regular scheduled programming (aka killing it in the gym + being able to breathe through my 👃🏾). For the first week I was stubborn and tried to push through my workouts, even though I knew I had no business being there based on how 💩 I felt. Mucho regrets because It definitely prolonged my recovery!

I told myself I wouldn’t go back until I was feelin’ one hundyy (or atleast 80% 😂because let’s be real here)

Anywaysss the moral of my lil spiel is clichè af: just because you “can” workout doesn’t always mean you should!! Sometimes you just gotta chill out and take it ez, the gym will always be there 😋

Here are 3 basic glute exercises to help you grow your booootay! Before I start my leg day workout I always perform some sort of glute activation exercise to get my 🍑 fired up and ready to weerk!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⚠️ Push through your heels to 🎯 those glute muscles!!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1️⃣ Step Ups
- When the DB becomes too easy you can incorporate barbells instead!
- You can also incorporate a kick back motion to target both glutes to make this exercise a little bit more challenging
2️⃣ Hip Thrusts
- I usually use 4 or 5 steps, anything more is just too high for me!
- Keep your chin tucked, it helps you maintain a neutral spine!
3️⃣Glute Bridge
- You can also do these either on a mat or on a bosu ball (I prefer this way tbh)

Just cheeesin’ my way to through this lovely winter we’re having this spring 😁 but for real though today’s weather in calgary has me feeling like spring is actually finally neaaar! 🌞🌺🌹

Quick lil physique update as it has been nearly 3 weeks since the show☺️

Today was the first time I weighed myself since show day because pre-prep I used to weigh myself maybe once every 3/4 months. Tbh the number on the scale really doesn’t mean a whole lot to me🤷🏾‍♀️ but incase you’re wondering I’m currently 4 lbs heavier than I was while on stage bringing me to about 16% body fat (I was at 14%)

I’ve gone to the gym like 8 times in the last 3 weeks just because of how hectic the end of the semester / finals szn has been!

I decided to go a more lax route with my reverse dieting and have just been focusing on eating a well balanced diet (I haven’t been macro/ calorie tracking) and have just making sure I’m getting an adequate amount of protein! I’ve also been eating like 2 cheat meals a week so that’s been pretty nice 😂

Here are 3 super basic, super simple, exercises that you can do to target your back while only using Barbells and Dumbbells! Which means you can do these exercises both at the gym or at home if you own dumbbells 😊
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⚠️ Make sure that you’re squeezing at the top of the contraction for all three exercises!!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1️⃣ Barbell Rows
- you can also do these with your palms facing upward (this way simultaneously incorporates your biceps)
- you can also do these with barbells and instead of your palms facing down they would be facing each other! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2️⃣ Single Arm Rows
- If you’re holding onto the bench using your left hand, your left knee should also be on the bench

3️⃣ Stiff Leg DB Deadlift - A slightly bent leg is ideal for those that have any sort of back problems
- Start off with lighter weight & work your way up

I still can’t believe show day has come and gone 😂😩 Ngl these last 4 months have honestly been pretty tough, not only was I was I prepping for my first competition, but I was also still in school, working when i could, struggling to make time for friends and family, trying to film and put together content for YouTube, having to fit in numerous doctors appointments for some unexpected health concerns all while trying to stay mentally sane lol.

Overall your girl had a pretty successful show dayy 🎉 there were 2 competitions held at the same location, the elite model search and the Abba natural show and i decided to enter both 😁
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I placed 3rd in the elite model search show, which was honestly such a great way to get those first time show jitters out of the way! And then placed 2nd in Bikini F in the Abba Natural Show! I had a lot of fun with it and also managed to finally meet a few ig friends I’ve been following for a while and also made some new friends along the way! 👯‍♀️😋
