Beautiful wedding. Beautiful people. ๐Ÿ˜

Lunch. ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿฝ

Not today, or on any other day for that matter. Wishing you a great one and thanks for the reminder @jonmcreynolds. ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฝ

So proud of this work. This is part of the new international Converse campaign called All The Stories Are True. It features the likes of Idris Elba, Millie from "Stranger Thingsโ€ and locally, we got the honour of creating the first SA piece featuring @jsomethingmusic. Shout out to the entire team and the client who trusted us enough to make this happen. ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿฝ #AllTheStoriesAreTrue #Converse #JoePublicUnited

I couldโ€™nt afford to go to advertising school. When I finished matric, my parents told me, in no uncertain terms, that the money had run out. University was out of the question and advertising schools which cost even more, were definitely a pipe dream. My brother and I fought tooth and nail with the management at Peninsula Technikon to let me study there because they didnโ€™t feel I was good enough to do the Graphic Design course and complete it. When they eventually accepted me, I took out a TEFSA loan and survived off the R200 that my parents sent me every month. I graduated, got my diploma and did my B-Tech. Then I couldnโ€™t get a job in advertising. I worked at a call center for over a year and I was rejected for every job I applied to within that organisation. It took one man to take a chance on me and that changed everything. Today as I look back on this journey I don't do so with anger and bitterness, but rather with fondness and appreciation. If I could do it all over again, I wouldnโ€™t change a thing. Because today I know that itโ€™s our struggles that teach us the most and build our true character. I share this achievement with everyone who I have worked with, everyone whoโ€™s been a part of this journey in whatever way. But most importantly, I share it with that young girl or boy who is struggling and searching for that breakthrough they need so badly. Keep at it. It will come, I promise. And when it does, everything you're going through now will make sense. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ

What happened to our fellow brothers and sisters in Khayelitsha is tragic. A few friends decided to do something about it and a bank account has been set up so that we can raise money to contribute in whatever way we can.
If you can, in whatever way you are able, letโ€™s help. Thanks to @Nedbank for helping set this account up.
