Got a torso mannequin for the ETO captain. A little too big for the M41 but it still looks great!

Here's a very nice 1942 dated Jefferson Quartermaster Depot manufactured M1910 First Aid pouch. JQMD was the only maker who made the M1910 style in during WWII. Not sure why they did but they didn't make many of them.

Recently picked up this very nice Purple Heart group! Sadly I have no history in it, the medal is unnamed and unnumbered.

Corporal Paul Makliney enlisted in the United States marine corps in January 9th 1942 at the age of 23. He was placed in company L, 3rd Battalion, 1st marine division and landed on Guadalcanal on August 7th 1942. While he was there the first Marine division was awarded the presidential citation for actions against Japanese forces. He later participated in the attack of Cape Gloucester in late 1943 and was sent back stateside in 1944. He was later discharged in September of 1945. Mr. Makliney passed away on September 13th 2001. RIP Marine!

New rifle added to the collection! This is a M1903 made originally by rock island arsenal. It was rebuilt during WWII so it has a mix of parts from other makers as well as a Springfield 1942 Barrel. The rifle is in excellent condition so after it was rebuilt it was likely barely used.

Another P1 Canteen Cover added to the stack. This one shows some use but is still solid. It is named to a W. W. Hurst, unfortunately I found two matches in the muster rolls so it's impossible which one it actually belonged to! Still a very nice canteen cover with lots of history.

I'm very excited to show this recent addition, this is a very nice Fixed bale set with a hood rubber liner. They are both in excellent condition and show little use. The hood rubber liner was likely made in late 1942 and was the last style they made with the green A-washers. This one is very rare because it has a black vinyl sweatband! In mid to late 1942 the military began experimenting to possibly replace the leather sweatbands with a cheaper material. Black vinyl and brown vinyl sweatbands were made and quickly discontinued. Not sure why they stopped making them, possibly they were not as soft and breathable as the previous leather ones. They continued to make leather sweatbands and because of this the vinyl ones are very hard to find today! Most of the time when they are found they are in low pressure Saint Claire or Hood rubber liners like this one. The liner also has a Tech 5 rank penciled on the front. Sadly no names or other markings. I'm very happy to own this set!

Looks like I may have too many British Made bandage pouches! All 1944 Dated except the center one, that is an early 1943 dated one.
