Standing tall. The giraffe is the tallest terrestrial mammal in the world. The males stand about 5m tall - as high as a single-story house - and the females are just a little shorter. #Wildlife #Giraffe #Instagood #Long #Tall #StillStanding #MondayMotivation #FamilyOuting #Family #InstaSummer

Smile it's Sunday! 🦁 A pride of lions is usually made up of related females and their cubs. Pride sizes vary but average from 2-6 lions.
Lions are unique amongst cats in the way they live and work together; they give birth at the same time, raise their cubs together - allowing other cubs to suckle from them, and hunt together. #Lion #Lionness #Cub #Family #Pride #Weekend #Sunday #BigCats #Wildlife

Gorilla's can be distinguished by their nose - which has a unique pattern, just like a human fingerprint. The gorilla above is part of the Mapuwa group in Virunga National Park. The group currently has 22 gorillas, including 3 Silverbacks. #Saturday #Fact #Gorillas #Weekend #Wildlife #Wildlifephotography #AmazingAnimals #Forest #Nosey

Ever get that #ThursdayFeeling! Polar bears are the planet’s biggest land-based carnivores – although they actually spend most of their lives around water and ice (their Latin name means ‘sea bear’). So they’re at particular risk from global warming, which is melting the Arctic sea ice they depend on. #MakeClimateMatter #ClimateChange #PolarBear #Arctic #Ice

Here's looking at you! We are in love with this photo of a young orang-utan 💚 The Sabah government announced that over 100,000 additional hectares of forest will be added to the protected area network. Great news for our orang-utan friends! #Orangutan #Wildlife #Forests #Conservation #GoodNews #InstaGood #MidWeekWonders #WildlifeWednesday

If you have a cat at home you may notice how they like to go out at night. #DYK Snow leopards are most active at dawn and dusk and can travel over 25 miles in a single night #Snowleopard #Wildlife #Cats #BigCats #CatsEyes

Singye, our Tiger Protector in Bhutan, is our #MondayMotivation!

She tracks and monitors wild tigers with camera traps and helps protect this species from the threat of poaching. She leads a team of 30 male rangers and spends weeks at a time away from her family whilst she patrols Royal Manas National Park.

We couldn’t work towards the global goal of doubling the number of wild tigers without people like Singye ❤ #iProtectTigers #Tigers #InstaGood #Bhutan #Asia #Wildlife

Chimp #selfie 🐵! We love this close up camera trap image from our team in Cameroon. Nki National Park where this pic was taken, is one of the last true wildernesses on Earth and hosts an impressive amount of wildlife e.g. 265 species of birds, about 6000 gorillas, crested monkeys, Brazza monkeys, chimpanzees and black colobus.
We'll share more from the collection next week along with some great news for elephants which have recently made a come back in the area. Happy Sunday! #Weekend #FunnyPhoto #Wildlife #Cameroon #Forest #HappySunday #CameraTrap

Looking out for some lunch?! Lions are top predators in their environment, whether that’s grasslands, desert or open woodland. It means they play a crucial role in keeping a healthy balance of numbers among other animals, especially herbivores like zebra and wildebeest – which in turn influences the condition of grasslands and forests.

By protecting a lion’s landscape, we’re helping the whole area to thrive, which doesn’t just benefit wildlife but the people who rely on local natural resources too. #Lion #Africa #Wildlife #BigCats #InstaGood #WildlifePhotography #conservation

Forest elephant Friday! Elephants play an essential role in their environment. They're ‘landscape architects’ – for instance as they move around and feed, they create clearings in wooded areas, which lets new plants grow and forests regenerate naturally. #Elephant #FeelgoodFriday #ForestElephant #Forest #Wildlife #InstaGood #Conservation #ClearUp
