Today on my run had me deep thinking. And I thought I’d share with you all! .

So while I’m laying here...let’s talk! . . -
1️⃣ we are a brand of who we are. I represent who I am & who I want to be. Do I represent myself well. My work well. My family well. .

2️⃣ Do I engage with, make time for, follow, etc...people who are adding to my life. People who encourage. People who uplift and are truthful and real. Go-getters. The no takers. .

3️⃣Do I look in the mirror every night knowing I treated my body exceptionally well, with fuel, words, and action. .

4️⃣Are you giving it your all? Always looking at it from #2 so you are always grinding. Never settling. Like you’re chasing greatness. Giving time to something you care about. And making yourself the best YOU you can be. .

by @love_karis || How are you getting in shape??? I’ve been getting that question a lot since I’ve started putting my workout pics on IG so here’s my secret…. How do you eat an elephant?🐘 – one bite at a time.
I wasn’t an athlete. I didn’t know what I was doing or how to start. I’m still getting over insecurities lifting weights. The real key is YOU HAVE TO START SOMEWHERE. I started with 8-10lb dumbbells, at my house, to start building strength & improving technique. Sometimes I only did/still do bodyweight exercises. As I’ve gotten stronger, I’ve increased the amount of weight, gone up in number sets and/or reps, and increased the frequency of my workouts. You just keep building up. Pretty soon, the weights I used to be scared to lift seemed easier, so I kept building. The real key for me was to START and stay consistent with it. When I felt confident, and my body told me I was strong enough to do more, I took the next step. There are plenty of fitness routines on-line but if you don’t feel comfortable navigating them, and want to know what I do specifically just DM me or comment here and I’ll be happy to help do what I can!!! ||
