Regrann from @johnkennedyvaughan - No one is perfect in love. Only Jesus lived a perfectly loving life, but we can all live a loving life. The first of the 7 things love is....is patience. Don’t rush relationships. If it’s loving today, it will be more loving next month and the year after that. This doesn’t mean drag out relationships forever either. It just means be sound minded. The seventh of the seven things love is....is perseverance. Take your time committing for life. The feeling of love is the fruit of love -not love itself. Love does what is “truly” best for others without regard for itself. Jesus is our example. Our responsibility is to love, not to be loved. Any two people first focused on loving instead of being loved will only find themselves more loved, and the love in their lives growing stronger. Love is always either growing or dying. 1 Corinthians 13:4:8 “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. Of course none of us are perfectly loving, but if they mess up they won’t defend their mess up, make excuses, or blame it on someone else. They will own it and repent. If they believe you’re missing the truth, they will tell you and do anything they can to help you change. They won’t support anything you want. They will only support what they believe is best for you. If you’re on the side of the truth, they will stand with you at all cost. They won’t support you doing whatever feels good to you, but only what is good for you. If you get hurt they are less concerned with the hurt, and more concerned with helping you get well. If someone betrays you, they are not interested in rehashing it with you over and over. They are interested in helping you seek the truth, forgive, and move forward. If you want to gossip, they suddenly have a lot less to say. If someone loves you, they want you to live a loving life because they know it’s best for you, not so they can be loved. They will love you whether you love them or not. Love doesn’t expect anything from you, but noting gives it more joy than to be loved in return. Hey, @jamesellisfit here... I just posted a NEW Physically Fit Blog to my JamesEllisFit website titled, "Are Your REPS in Line with Your GOALS?" -
👉🏻I have been ‘burning’ on this article for way too long, so I suppose I could have called it “James Ellis is Burning” after one of my favorite ESPN shows “Jim Rome is Burning”. A couple of my biggest pet peeves in the gym are people that have bad form when they are lifting (can’t really blame them as they likely don’t know any better), and when certain individuals simply try to push way more weight than they should be pushing. The likely outcome for both of these situations is injury.

Well, now I have a new pet peeve, and that is people that are trying to get a specific result with their build, however, they are doing the wrong amount of repetitions (again, I really can’t blame them as they likely don’t know any better). For example, years ago a smaller guy weighing about 130 pounds asked me for a spot on shoulder press. I go to spot him and see that he has a ton of weight on the bar, so I ask him how many reps he’d like to achieve. He responds by telling me he’d like to get one or maybe two reps and proceeds to tell me that he is trying to bulk up. He ended up asking me for advice and I was able to point him in the right direction for bulking up/mass gaining.

A similar thing happened years ago when I noticed a group of guys whom I know are trying to bulk up doing only one or two reps on all their chest exercises. Each of these guys has that puffy power lifter look rather than the muscular and vascular bodybuilder look they are supposedly trying to attain. In truth, these guys and the 130 pound guy are doing power lifting style of training. This can help them to get stronger, but they won’t see nearly as much muscle growth in that ‘power lifting training zone as they would in the bodybuilding/mass gaining zone (hypertrophy zone).

Hey @workouts.daily crew, @jamesellisfit bringing you the details of yesterday’s chest workout, which was by no means my typical chest workout as I was short on time and couldn’t waste time waiting on machines. And, I decided to make it a mix of endurance and hypertrophy style training. -
👉🏻Exercise 1 - Dumbbell Incline Bench Press warm up set of 20 reps. Then I did 4 sets of 18, 15, 12, & 10 reps. Took a 60-90 second breaks between sets and did heavier weight each set too. -
👉🏻Exercise 2 - Barbell flat bench on the smith machine. 4 sets of 15, 12, 10, & 8 reps. Took a 60-90 second breaks between sets and did heavier weight each set too. -
👉🏻Exercise 3 - Incline Dumbbell flyes. 3 sets of 15, 12, & 10. Took a 60 second breaks between sets and did heavier weight each set too. -
👉🏻Exercises 4 & 5 - Superset of cable machine mid Chest flyes and cable machine decline flyes. 3 supersets of 10-15. Took a 30 second breaks between sets and stuck with the same weight for each set. -
👉🏻Then I finished up with some good Tricep burnout exercises. 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
