A good start. After a crosstown rides on the 29 Sunset and 14x Mission #sfmuni buses 🚌 I often, as in like today, to# visit my super good #barista pals! This is Andrinea (@journey1sista), who often doubles as my model and Andy, who is a unique #nba fan. These guys, along with the rest of the gang here---Nico, Kate, Ari, Maddie, and Mark---bring me back to life so that I can start my day. The arduous ride on the Muni, Metro, and Bart is something torturous. This is why I love baristas, wine bar servers, and bartenders; they provide therapy for crazy writers, photographers, and recorders of life. Stop. Few signs in life are clearer than a #stopsign. This one is located in #sanfranciscofidi where distractions are plenty---private vehicles, #taxis, #ubers, #lyfts, #cyclists, #motorcyclists, #motorbikes, #scooters, #skateboarders, #rollerscakers, #pedsestrians, #roadclosures, #detours, and on and on. It is easy to be preoccupied and/or distracted. This morning as my darling Alice (@aliwongsf), our gal Kaili 🐶, and I were leaving our quiet little cul-de-sac, I saw a car 🚗 speedily heading towards me, I thought, "He isn't going to stop ✋. I quickly moved out of harm's way. The car never stopped. What happened next was scarier. Alice was crossing at the other stop sign 🛑 and the car ran that one too. Alice, fortunately, was paying attention and moved out of the way. I was very concerned as I looked back. Ever since her stroke in 2002, she doesn't move as quickly as most folks. Most of us are guilty of missing stop signs and moving too quickly without looking. I am sure that driver was not malicious. He was probably late for work and in a hurry. As members of the fast-moving urban environment, we should remember that one untimely action could have final consequences. What's more clearer than a red stop sign 🛑? This wine exhibits dried strawberries, light earthy notes, and a touch of minerality. Enjoy it with Cantonese-styled salt baked prawns.
