Lool these are the people sold a dream for a better life and thought that turning the other cheek would eventually make racism somehow evaporate 🤣🤣 some then proceeded to leave and 'go home' before house prices in England went up n up n up to live a dream without the family they made here and left behind 😂😂😂😂😂 dem Jamaican God Save The Queen (the 'we ain't african' type) folk that came before the yardie raggamuffins come and shook things up with gunshots and selling crack in the streets instead of begging to be a part of this racist society. That was bad but kinda necessary in a strange way. I thank Rastafari whose followers always had a back to Africa mantra although globalisation today and the similarities between us and other cultures all over the world has made that a difficult task to want to accomplish especially keeping in mind that Emperor Haile Selassie (Ras Tafari) once said to all Africans that 'we must live in peace with our former colonisers'. That being said, Africa needs fixing badlyyyyyyyyyyy people!
So I thank my grandparents for trying a ting and being humble about it although it's kind FUCKED UP that they ignored my mother, uncles n aunties (and probably their own) experiences of racism so that they weren't perceived as being 'troublemakers'.
EVERY ONE of you immigrants need to thank Jamaicans who opened the doors of opportunity for your family to come & try to get a tiny fraction of the wealth that our ancestors contributed to building this country's barren lands from the richness of our homelands which is no longer there 😢. Just look at how dapper the mandem on the windrush looked compared to any other set of immigrants looooool even the working class british never showed so much panache in the 40s. Jeeeeez. U can't tesssss us Jamaicans when it comes to style, flavour and putting up resistance chussss mi daddyyyy! All you other immigrants wanna talk shit about Jamaicans but we done set da trend and moved on from whatever bullshit u wanna focus on fam. Word is wind. Action we bring. 🏆
