Likes: walks on the beach 🌊🐚

We recently celebrated our 19th anniversary and I am the luckiest girl alive that I happened to step foot on that beach in San Juan 22 years ago and met him. 🌈🌊

I am chasing them and they are chasing chickens. πŸ“

We've been blueberry picking for the last several years. I love getting lots of blueberries to freeze for an inexpensive price, but it's hard work out in the hot June sun, with two Tasmanian devils running around and dropping the blueberry bucket (for the second year in a row)! Hmmmm....maybe heading to the grocery store and picking up a few pints isn't such a bad idea after all?! πŸ˜‚

Our little spot on the beach. All to ourselves! 🌊 Who else hates crowds? β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €

I love carrying this little beauty. This is a vintage basket bag that my father-in-law gave to me and is so special to me. It is handmade from Ponape, which is now Pohnpei, in Micronesia from 1968. I love the colors: pink, purple and teal in muted shades. And, I love the little pom-poms.

My little explorer checking out the pretty flowers. Also, I love her little dress. I would not mind having an adult one. πŸ˜‚

I heard about a lavender farm nearby, so you know I had to check it out. It was a beautiful place with lots to explore, but not exactly the fields of purple I had envisioned. If you’re nearby, you should check it out as it was a nice afternoon, especially the Purple Wolf Winery. Also they have horses, pigs, rabbits, alpacas and chickens! (P.S. LOVE this dress from @galmeetsglam -- very comfortable and it has my favorite -- pockets!)

This is my kind of walk -- mostly shaded. We were able to spot 3 different lizards within our first 5 minutes of walking at Currituck Banks, a beautiful and peaceful trail to the sound through a maritime forest.

S H A R K ! ! This is my son doing his roar face to scare the shark. Who else loves to visit aquariums?! 🐟🐚🦈🐑

PRO TIP: In hindsight, climbing to the top of a lighthouse with two four-year-olds...maybe not my best idea ever? It was really nerve-wracking climbing all of those open stairs with really widely-spaced rails. Then we got the top and my daughter was trying to get away from my husband, which became our first lighthouse-lookout-meltdown. We stayed for approximately 10 seconds and then turned around to go back down because we couldn't trust the kids to hold our hand, listen and not dive over the rail. However, without small children, I highly recommend it!

This little boy had an absolute blast splashing and jumping at the shore, digging sand and looking for crabs. β €β €β €
