Today is #WorldPhotoDay, an international photography event that celebrates the passion for photography in our communities. It is about inspiring thousands of photographers across the planet to share a single photo with a simple purpose: to share their world with the world.
I took this photo of Niagara Falls on a muggy evening in August 2011. All lit up in a patriotic red, white, and blue, the falls looked absolutely magical that night. I was just learning about f-stops, exposures, focal lengths, histograms, etc., and distinctly remember this photo as my very first photo where everything finally came together.
For me, sharing my photography is a way to let others explore the world through my eyes. I hope people enjoy looking at my photos as much as I enjoy taking them!
