I had to work at noon today, but at 10 am, Terry and I were alone on this sandbar. Because I have learned that I can't wait for the weekend, wait for vacation or wait till the time is right to do magical, soul-enriching things. The time is now.

I love my boat, but my kayak feels like an extension of my body, and I love that I can go quietly where he boat can't go. Different lake, different feel.

It was our first time on Brinker Lake with he boat and the first time I could coax Terry out into a sandbar. Next time I bring lawn chairs and Margaritas. ❤️

He's, uh, a lot less nervous on the boat already. ❤️
