For many people, managing a budget can be overwhelming and confusing – especially when they’re struggling to make ends meet. To help, our Mission financial mentors hosted a special afternoon tea in the Drop-in Centre yesterday which included educational games and activities. The aim of the event was to help educate our guests, while also having fun!
Special thanks to the Pokemon Go Wellington group who filled these boxes and shopping bags with donations for The Mission at their community event in the weekend. They ended up collecting an amazing 186 items for our Foodbank including food and toiletries. Thank you!
One of our amazing supporters has found a creative way to fundraise for The Mission. Richard skilfully builds traditional Canadian wooden canoes in his garage, two of which he has now sold & donated the proceeds! We’re so inspired by Richard’s keenness to use his talents to help others – thank you! If you have a creative idea about how you’d like to support The Mission, please send us a direct message - we’d love to hear about it!

This incredible team from food rescue organisation @kiwiharvest cooked up a storm in our Drop-in Centre kitchen today! The team, including an award-winning chef, brought along all the ingredients for a delicious BBQ lunch which they then prepped, cooked and served to our guests! Thanks so much for providing this amazing meal KiwiHarvest!
