The Shrine of Remembrance was opened in 1934 and pays homage to the Australians who fought for the country during the wars. If you can't make it to the Anzac Day dawn service tomorrow, the site is open everyday of the year except Good Friday and Christmas to explore the building and its exhibitions. The grand architecture also makes it a magnificent sight during sunrise and sunset. The wispy clouds here almost mimic the movement of the Eternal Flame, which burns just in front of the Shrine. No plans this Anzac Day? Even though it's a midweek day off, there are still plenty of places to take a day trip to from Melbourne. For great views of the coastline and rock formations try @phillipisland, just two hours out. Pictured here in the distance is Pyramid Rock, a popular attraction located on the southern part of the island. It's easily accessible from the carpark or get active and try the 2 hour return walk between Pyramid Rock and Berry's Beach. We love how the leaves wrap around the cafe at @alowyngardens, a gorgeous garden, nursery and cafe in @visityarravalley_official. Take a trip through the themed sections, from the edible garden to the Wisteria Archway, which makes the perfect photo backdrop. Finish your visit in their cafe courtyard with a coffee and scones as their collection of "Autumn blaze" maple trees envelops the area in red. Fancy a tea? Step through the whimsical facade of @bellemiette and sink your teeth into the small yet delicious delights - macarons and chocolates. Sip some French tea with your sweets or grab a box for that special someone. If you're a curious cat, why not make it a themed day and follow Alice down the rabbit hole at @acmionline's new Wonderland exhibition - an exploration of Alice in Wonderland's transformation on film. Delve into Aboriginal culture at @narana_cultural_centre when you @visitgeelongbellarine, the perfect stop before you embark on a grand trip along @visitgreatoceanroad. “Narana” means “listening and learning” and you can do exactly that at their immersive centre. Visit the extensive art gallery, meet their resident wildlife from emus to wallabies, and make sure to take the kids for an enriching experience. This snap is from a bush tucker gathering session featuring wattleseeds. These native seeds taste best when ground up and used in baked goods - give their wattleseed scones and muffins a try at their on-site cafe. Contrary to belief, @heartbreakerbar won't break your heart but you'll definitely fall in love with it. They have four pre-batched classic cocktails on tap, such as Negronis, and you can even purchase their bottled versions before 11pm. But if you've got the time, take a seat and enjoy the vibes with the added bonus of @conniespizzamelbourne for a midnight bite. Photo by @naomilecoutre #visitmelbourne #visitvictoria #melbournetwist

Oh, what a magical sight. @brightandsurrounds is a popular place to be in autumn, yet the transition of the leaves is also hypnotising to see too. You'll pass this row of tall trees whilst completing the Canyon Walk, an easy 1.5 hour walk with a great view of the Ovens River. If you want to find out the best places to take these kind of shots, the @brightautumnfestival starts next week and includes a #bright18instameet. We look forward to seeing many more great pictures. You won't need to concentrate as you float along the #MurrayRiver when this paddle steamer will do all the hard yards for you. When you @visitthemurray, a stay overnight in a houseboat or a cruise in one of these historic vehicles is a must-do. The @p.s.cumberoona is a replica of the original boats from back in the day, with its name coming from the Aboriginal word for "crooked river". You'll even be treated to a classic Australian BBQ lunch so make sure to jump on board. Photo by @neil_mccarthy_photography #visitthemurray #wandervictoria #visitvictoria

What a sight the city skyline is to see when you venture into the suburbs. Explore our beach-side suburbs including the popular Brighton Beach bathing boxes, Elwood and Black Rock. Enjoy quiet walks along the sandy bay and coastal small town vibes with quaint bars and cafes just across from the beach. This amazing drone shot by @bigfootdownunder captures Port Phillip Bay and Elwood beach, looking towards the city. #visitmelbourne #visitvictoria

Find Beechworth in @exploreindigo for a romantic scene of gold rush architecture and gold leaf trees. Don't be deceived by the peaceful surface, the town also have a bubbling local produce scene from the famed goods at Beechworth Bakery to the award-winning restaurant, Provenance. You'll also find Woolshed Falls a 10 minute drive from town, to sit by and wind down after your dining adventures. Photo by @izzyabuleela #seehighcountry #wandervictoria #visitvictoria

There's not really any way to describe this scene besides "very Melbourne". Our specialty coffee spots, like @pcoffeebrewers, often hide in nooks and crannies in laneways with little seating in order to focus their efforts on pumping out quality coffees. So it's normal to venture for an excellent brew but end up sitting in alleyways on milk crates. We recommend you try it. Photo by @leemwoo #visitmelbourne #visitvictoria #melbournetwist

Want to feel like a local? Stand on the steps at Flinders St station - it's the classic go-to meeting spot for people when heading into the city. Sit or stand on the steps and you can watch the constant stream of pedestrians that cross at that intersection, from visitors to daily commuters. If you're looking for a more active day, unlock one of the Melbourne Bike Share bikes and take a ride around town. Photo by @alexander_martindes #visitmelbourne #visitvictoria #melbournetwist
