VIS-ANT-INE  Connecting the maker & wearer. Celebrating the process of making thoughtful women's clothing.

New York friends! Check out @tntconceptstore this Saturday for live music, good food and a pop up of independent designers. I won't be there but VIS will!

The one, the only.... reverse zip vest! Up on the sample sale on the web shop. Hand printed and dyed batik in Yogjakarta, Indonesia in collaboration with the Bramah Tirta Sari studio โค๏ธ

Designer @ejensik took some time to chat with me about personal style philosophy, "sustainability", and the influence of trends and how to navigate all the noise of media and advertising. Check it out ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผlink in bio

These are my fav pants: the organic hemp culotte. Hemp is a fantastic plant and the fiber is a great alternative to cotton. It is a natural weed suppressant and is grown without pesticides or herbicides. It also uses about half the amount of water needed for cotton in a season. (It takes about 2,500 liters of water to make your cotton t-shirt) Finally, it grows easily in southern Wyoming (maybe northern, too?) hmm..all this talk about diversifying the economy....

The softest thing you've ever felt: organic cotton gauze and bamboo/rayon patchwork tees from cutting room remnants. All made in Laramie by @ejensik and available online ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผ

It's the pleats. The pleats in the pants.

Just added a sample medium and large patchwork shirt dress to the sale! (Link in bio)

The one and only organic cotton gauze "night shift dress" ever made! On the sample sale --> link in bio

This patchwork vest was made from hand dyed and printed batik remnants and up-cycled men's denim jeans. Check out our story for more goodies like this on sample sale! ๐ŸŽˆ

Lots of people have been asking me questions about company transparency in the clothing industry. I highly recommend @fash_rev_mooc FREE 3 week class where you can actually be a detective and ask your brands, "who made my clothes?" I think (hope!) there is still time to sign up (photo: @togetherstreet )

Just posted a story filled with colorful batik samples that need a home! (DM me if you like something ๐Ÿ™ƒ)
