For businesses, it's no longer just about what you stand for. You need to get out there and fight for what you stand up for and what you will stand up against.
If you own a business, it's time to take the gloves off and get in the fight.
Shit is not going to fix itself.
Climate change, ocean pollution, DACA, and healthcare are just a few of the real problems facing us, our friends, family and neighbors and you, as a business leader, have an obligation to play your part and stand up for your community and do what's right.
This week I'm on Capitol Hill for a board meeting with Ocean Champions and to work on ocean issues with members of Congress. Working to protect our ocean is something that I've made a priority because a healthy ocean benefits every single person on this planet.
I've worked with non-profits, politicians on both sides of the aisle and businesses to help pass Microbead legislation, expansion of the Pacific monument, the creation of the Atlantic monument. And now we're working on the Save our Seas Act.
So speak up and speak out!
Running a business isn't just about making the sale or gaining market share. Use your business to be a force for good!
