These carcass rectum plugs (one of the most used products in the red meat industry) are molded from a polymer created from blood-meal, one of the biggest co products of the meat industry. Blood-meal is combined with a combination of additives which disrupts the aggregates and cross-linking that would otherwise prevent this protein from behaving as a thermoplastic.
Collaborating with @zawhatthe and @thewoolmarkcompany we have created the international woolmark prize trophies. Building on years of experimenting and testing, we have designed a new gravity-fed plastic casting technique which allowed us to create large scale objects from marine debris plastics.
Looking back at one of previous experiments, where we created plastic samples that gave a real indication of polymer’s physical properties for injection moulding. By creating multiple parts in a kit we were able to showcase multiple characteristics such as minimum wall thickness, shrinkage rates and finish of that specific polymer.
A fun collaboration with @deuscustoms , we have transformed the classic 911, known as #luftauto , into a pine-box derby style timber model. The model was designed and CNC machined in house at Vert, enabling us to fully control the unique finishing result!

Whiskey tumblers and coasters designed for @chivasregal . Working with @edolselliottglass , the glasses were produced using the venetian technique 'Incalmo' to create a distince joint between the chivas blue and the textured glass. Every detaile of the product was designed carefully to enhance the elegant experience of drinking #chivas18 .
