5 reasons to go to Maltby St. Market

There is no end of street food & markets in London but hear out 5 reasons why we love this tiny one:

5) Not overpacked as other foodie destinations like Borough Market & Kerb, still a little kept secret

4) You can shop and eat at Lassco, an architectural salvage yard that also is the brainchild behind its weekend food market. Prices have soared as the food market got ever more popular but still worth a stroll.
3) Pantry shopping with style. Maltby St is very much filled with food stalls but you can still find carefully selected olive oil or organic peanut butter.

2) You get to try amazing orange wine at 40 Maltby St., a complete yumminess. See our review of this little gem and favourite dishes on our website.

1) Best BloodyMary in town and it is Gin based. Slightly salty w/strong fresh horseradish which makes you down one after the other. Grab a toastie from the Cheese Truck to cure your hangover.

Waking up to a brand new day #breakfast in #london 💙Sunday Cafe Barnsbury 👌🏻 Today's pick: Kale & quinoa omelette with avocado 🥑 toast. Delicious vegetarian choice offered by a pure neighbourhood cafe #veggieoption #igbrunchclub

Morning 💙 We just discovered @woodstcoffee & we loved it! It's next door to Blackhorse Workshop which is a new public space dedicated to making and mending 👌🏻 Try their chocolate pecan brownie or avocado on toasted sourdough with smoked Maldon sea salt, cracked black pepper, lemon & sumac 🥑

If @monmouthcafe and @neals_yard_dairy had an offspring, it would be @40maltbystreet. Right at the top of London's best food destination, this archway wine bar serves a very inventive menu. It unfortunately is very meat focused. Yet, during our various visits chefs here have always very creatively accommodated our veggie requests - despite being jammed and having the smallest kitchen. We always go back for the wine but we wished they had more veggie options on their short menu. We have a lot more to talk about #maltbystreetmarket Visit our website later for our favourite veggie picks.

Hard to come by an interesting #veggieoption #mexican taco in #london despite numerous joints popping up. We will be trying out each new restaurant and begin from @breddostacos 🌮 👉🏻Pick of the day is Smoked sweet potato tacos with recado rojo, chamomile, pumpkin seed 😍 Share with us your favourite Mexican dish in the 🌎 and inspire us Londonders!

Morning #london 💙 Here is one of our favorite spots for #veggieoption in #londonfields ☕️ @wiltonwaycafe You can tune into London Fields Radio while drinking your almond milk latte 💙 #thisislondon #londoncoffeeshops #ieastlondon

Street food from all across the globe has become London’s holy grail - and we are loving it! London has over the years proved itself as a food capital where the crossovers between cultures, history and culinary traditions can be experienced from street food markets to small healthy chains. Openness to tastes from different regions and London’s multi-cultural inhabitants has been the driving force behind this culinary success. Andina is a neat example of this excitingly diverse food scene. A-grandma-food-cum-Shoreditch-reality, Andina serves tasty dishes from the Peruvian Andes. Their menu is packed with superfood ingredients with plenty of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free dishes to choose from 👉🏻 Today's picks: Corn cake & avocado ( with amazing onion pickles) Choclo burger, chullo salad ❤️#veggieoption #andinarestaurant #londoncheapeats #londonstreetfood #ieastlondon

Morning ☀️ from a favorite ☕️ spot on #broadwaymarket @climpsonandsons ✨ Need loads of coffee as we prepare to launch our website ready for u guys 😊 👉🏻 Pick of the day: Almond Latte & peanut butter brownie #veggieoption #londoncoffeeshops #ieastlondon #coffeeoftheday

Our home in London, this neighbourhood restaurant takes inspiration from the Mediterranean. Menu offers a unique blend of ingredients and flavours across North Africa, Greece and Turkey. Heaven for vegetarians but sadly most dishes include dairy. Enter this clean and tastefully decorated restaurant and you are immediately welcomed by za’atar smelling from the kitchen and labneh filled earthware dishes waiting to be dipped. Reservations are taken unlike their mothership Moro in Clerkenwell and we recommend you do so. Don’t miss the fried aubergines with date molasses or cheese fritters & Cretan thyme honey. Morito is next door to Sager+ Wilde, a wine bar with an incredible list and vibe 👉🏻 Today's picks: 1️⃣Mixed tomato salad & Cretan rusks, green anis, crispy capers 2️⃣ Fried aubergines, date molasses & feta ( they were kind enough to serve without the cheese for out vegan friends) #veggieoption #ieastlondon #lunch #morito #columbiaflowermarket #hackney

Better known for its breakfast, own roasted coffee and charming vibe, this Australian joint offers plenty of small and large plates of fresh food for vegetarians and fewer options for vegans. If you are not an early bird and cannot avoid the queues, take a proper lunch break and eat outside at their Exmouth Market location. We prefer the cosiness of original Caravan (Exmouth Market) to the newer industrial King’s Cross version. Caravan at Granary Sq, however, is a great people-watching place being next door to Central Saint Martins, an art college and cultural activity in its own right. You won't be disappointed. #veggieoption #exmouthmarket #caravanrestaurant #lunch #ieastlondon #kingscross

Hard to review a place that is proudly “all things pork” and named after a meat dish. We were on our let’s challenge mode and booked a table at Brawn for a Sunday set-lunch. For our meat-loving friends it was a treat. Beautifully set within Columbia Road’s buzzing Sunday flower market, Brawn chefs did impress with their effort to accommodate our request for no cheese, no meat 🍝 Dishes are made to share. Our feast started with breakfast radishes served with a deliciously balanced olive oil. Non-veggie option included smoked Cod’s Roe which was praised. This was followed by incredibly delicious, well-sourced selection of high quality seasonal food. Brawn is also famed for its natural wine selection which we highly recommend for you to taste. We cannot get enough of orange wines 🍷#veggieoption #brawn #columbiaflowermarket #lunch #ieastlondon
