sad to be on my way home from @vegfestuk but i had such a brill time today!! 7 hours flew by 😭 thanks for the photo @the_vegan_treaterie btw, i am so buzzed for the shortbread and you guys should all check them out or check their stall out tomorrow if you're going!! they are so so lovely and a brand new company with some amazing stuff so give them some love πŸ˜ŠπŸ–€

i had my first EVER try of sushi earlier from @thehappymaki at vegfest london and it was so good 😊 vegan crispy chicken, sweet potato chips and veg and i loved it!! defo gonna try it elsewhere now that i know i like it πŸ˜‚ having such a wonderful day with the people tagged plus other amazing people, and i've had so much food and tasters i feel a bit sick so just having a little break for now listening to a talk before attempting some more food in a bit lol πŸ˜…

i had a bit of a strange dinner this evening using things out of the cupboard (mexican rice and the baked beans) plus the fresh veg i had leftover (spinach and mushrooms) because i have very little food left πŸ˜‚ it seems to be the story of my life that i have no food left but it just seems to all disappear so quickly lol anyone else have that struggle?? πŸ˜‚πŸ˜­πŸ˜­ no worries tho because i'm going to vegfest tomorrow and there will be lots and lots of amazing food there and i'm so ready to just blow loads of money idec anymore πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰ but for now i'm off to a sports pub quiz so i hope u all have a fab friday night πŸ‘‹πŸ½

i was doing so well at my porridge every day weekly goal until yesterday when i ran out of time before my 9am lecture and ended up eating some dry cereal, a banana and a clif bar lol πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ i guess there's nothing really wrong with that and i love cereal don't get me wrong but oats fill be up loads more and since i knew i'd probably run out of this time this morning too, i actually got prepared and made overnight oats last night!! very proud of myself not gonna lie πŸ˜‚ and yeah i just made them in a bowl and covered it over because i don't own a fancy jar ahahah πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ i followed an online recipe to get the proportions right so i can actually help you guys out for once if you want to know what's in it πŸ’ƒπŸ»πŸ’ƒπŸ» 100g oats, 2 tbsp milled linseed, cinnamon and 400ml soy milk all mixed together and put in the fridge overnight to set (think it said serves 2 but i had it all in 1 portion lol) 😎 and then this morning i added some frozen blueberries too 😊 it made for the perfect quick breakfast after running this morning and before lectures today!! i'm gonna definitely try and be organised enough to make these more often πŸ˜‚ and i'm gonna stop rambling and just say have a good friday everyone πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜ŠπŸ‘πŸΌ

stir fry for dinner 😊 feels like it's been so long since i had noodles but i just looked at my feed and it's been 5 days ahahaha oops #obsessed anyways this is rice noodles, butter beans, stir fry veg and mushrooms with bbq seasoning, turmeric and chilli flakes 🌢 after a long afternoon at uni and getting absolutely soaked on a run this evening πŸ˜‚ and now i'm just sat currently ignoring how much work i have to do lol why have i procrastinated everything so badly πŸ˜­πŸ˜­πŸ˜‚

just had the BEST meal with @jammyhanny 😊 there's a new fully plant based vegan fast food place @fresshfood opening in brum city centre on saturday and today they had a trial day for media/bloggers etc.! we got some free food which was so good and this was the 'what the guac' burger πŸ” sweet potato and black bean burger with nachos and lots of other stuff, plus chips and a brownie cos why not if they're offering πŸ˜‚ and i also tried kombucha because i've never had it before and wanted to take this chance to try it as it was free but i didn't like it ahahaha. scroll for more pictures of the place and the menu but yeah i pretty much couldn't fault it and i'm so excited for this place to properly open!! if anyone is local or is ever in birmingham then you should try it out πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ™ŒπŸ»

i put this on my story yesterday but just thought i would share on here properly as it's just such a sweet deal!! i got this delivery of 15 clif bars, 2 trek bars, 2 9bars, oatcakes and breakfast biscuits for about Β£8 yesterday with free delivery from @lovehealthhatewaste 😊😊 this isn't paid and i didn't get a discount or anything but yeah basically this website is fab and sells stuff with a short life/just before the sell by date etc at massively reduced prices which is great because the dates on things are so irrelevant anyway πŸ˜‚ their stock changes daily depending on what stuff they get in so it's worth keeping an eye on, but yeah i was well chuffed getting this as some snacks to keep me going for a little while for such a good price. you guys also know i am OBSESSED with clif bars as they're like the only snack that fill me up and i love having them before runs etc so i'm especially chuffed about those πŸ’ƒπŸ»πŸ’ƒπŸ» but yeah you guys should check this website out bc it's great πŸ‘πŸΌ

i made bean chilli!! and again, like the sweet potato curry i made last week, this meal is so so cheap and easy to make and is great for batch cooking too πŸ˜ƒ just a red onion fried with chilli powder, turmeric, garlic and cumin and then i added some celery too. then after 5 or so minutes i added drained kidney beans and cannellini beans with a tin of chopped tomatoes and some vegetable stock, and once it had come to the boil i just reduced the heat and stirred it at intervals for like 15 or so minutes! the specifics don't really matter like you can literally make this meal as you go along which is fab, and you can also add whatever veg you want too πŸ’ƒπŸ»πŸ’ƒπŸ» i'm currently walking home from work very much looking forward to the leftover half of this (this photo is from yesterday) when i get in πŸ˜‹

i was rushing out of my house earlier and was gonna be out over lunch and really didn't want to have to buy anything as i'm so poor right now (and trying to save money for vegfest at the weekend πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸ™ŒπŸ») so i made a sandwich in like 10 seconds but it turned out pretty amazing ngl πŸ™πŸ» sriracha, houmous, cucumber and butter beans which probably sounds like such a weird combo but it worked ok trust me πŸ˜… and it managed to save me like Β£5 or so that i would have been spending lately on campus for lunch so that's a winner 😊 don't get me wrong like Β£5 isn't that bad and it's not a disaster but it just adds up and it makes no sense to keep buying stuff when you have food at home already you know?? anyways i'm rambling yeah i had this sandwich earlier and now i'm finally on my way back to my house but i'm gonna be leaving again very shortly bc i have work this evening but hey it's all good money and i'm gonna need it because i have an expensive few days coming up lol πŸ‘πŸΌ

oats made with milled linseed, chocolate protein powder and soya milk with a banana for breakfast earlier today 😊 and this was very much welcome after tiring myself out this morning in the freezing cold running πŸ˜‚ i couldn't make the group tempo session on monday so i did it by myself this morning (2 mile warm up, 2 x 2 mile tempo and 2 mile cool down) and it was such hard work but i'm proud of myself for doing it lol πŸ‘πŸΌ my legs felt so dead and it was so windy and cold but i still managed it at a decent pace and i really struggle to push myself without others round me so yeah i would call it a success πŸ’ƒπŸ»πŸ™ŒπŸ» now i'm off to uni for the afternoon before work this evening and i hope u all have a good weds πŸ˜€

here's my lunch from earlier that i also forgot to post at the time πŸ˜‚ i was at home and fancied hot food so i had vegetable rice, linda mccartney sausages and mushrooms πŸ„ with ketchup! i actually prefer having a cooked lunch as well as a cooked dinner on days like today where i'm super busy and active as i think it just keeps me way fuller πŸ˜‚ like today i walked to and from the gym and then did running circuits this morning, walked to and from uni and worked on my feet for hours, walked to and from lectures, then ran to the track, did a drills session, did a 5.5 mile group run and then ran back from the track too so i think i need some good meals for energy to get me through it all πŸ˜… now i'm back home from running and my legs are dead after a long day but i'm eating some bean chilli i just made which is fab but i'll show u all another time when i have it as i have a lot of portions ahahaha πŸ’ƒπŸ»πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

i got so carried away doing the instagram story of how i make my oats this morning i totally forgot i hadn't even posted it! so here is a pic of my breakfast earlier πŸ˜‹ not gonna say what's in them or how i made them because you can actually check my story for once if you even care πŸ˜‚ it is my goal for the week to make the time to have oats every day for breakfast because it fills me up so much more and just is a better start to do the day. i've done it two days in a row so i'm proud of myself lol πŸ’ƒπŸ» this easily fuelled me through work earlier and i wasn't even hungry like 5 hours later when i went to get some lunch which is such a miracle for me as i seem to be always hungry πŸ˜‚
