Vee Cord / Sightings  Baby Boomer/NYC boy, 69, "white but colorful" The walking stick is a companion to ward off the "dogs" not due to disability... Stay the course :)

“TONY THE TIGER”... ?  Union Square (NYC) Hardly… but indeed the cartoon character icon representative then and now of Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes cereal introduced in 1952, the very cereal I ate as a child … “They’re Grrrrreat” ! … or so I thought ?  until it was discovered each box is laced with huge amounts of white refined sugar … to the tune of 2½ teaspoons of that white powder in every ¾ cup serving ! Sorry Tony, but that’s a very “BIG sweet tooth”!! And so it goes in and around town with many a deal “sweetened” in their own special way :) _________________________

Credit:  Jutka Vitz Photography  @jutkavitz Thank you my new Hungarian friend, Jutka aka Judy, visiting us here in New York City, for the “interception” and for this shot,  one of your many “captures”. It was indeed a pleasure to have met you and trust your holiday to the Big Apple was a rewarding one. I hope for our paths to cross again one day soon.  In the interim, do stay the course :)

“FROM DOWN UNDER”... !  The Grand Bazaar Columbus Avenue / 77th Street (NYC) … not Australia but from a different “position” taken, and I don’t mean politics and so it goes at times in and around town :) _____________

Credit:  The Unknown Photographer ... and not as a result of my lack of due diligence to discover same, for I have, to be answered only with silence as the response  Go figure :)

“A STEADY GAIT” … !  Union Square (NYC) … less friction makes for smoother performance by increasing engine efficiency, i.e., one’s body, and so it goes in and around town :) _________________

“L’ORANGE”... !  Washington Square Park (NYC)  Hmm … sounds important when said in French :) for this color vibrates on a higher frequency than most, stimulating and restoring a body’s harmony and so it goes bounding through this park one more time ! :) ________________

“YOU GOT MAIL”... !  Whoa...What a surprise to find a photo of this portrait painting in my email inbox some days back!  And the maker of such a wonderful work of art is Jeanne Daw, a friend I haven’t seen in ages, who just happens to be the sister of my longtime friend Lou @loulefevre1.  Jeanne, thank you so much … just amazing … I never knew you had such a talent and ability! The Metropolitan Museum of Art awaits! :) Rather than lead and post the photo from my IG gallery that I think was used to paint this portrait, I’ll let my friends out there see if they could find it ! :) Sorry, relatives are not allowed to participate ! And the first one to find such a photo, wins the Sleuth of the Year Award 2018 to be announced on my “morning show”!! Hey that’s quite the acknowledgement and should get the Nielsen Audio ratings up considerably ... and so it goes in and around town !  ____________________

Credit :  Fine Art Portrait Painting / Jeanne Daw @jdaw1 A portrait done in watercolor with pastel embellishments, so I’ve been told. Thank you once again Jeanne for this wonderful “piece”. You flatter me no end and I am duly honored that you would make the effort to capture the essence of my being … and you did !! Hopefully our paths will cross one day soon to get a photo of us with this, your masterpiece!  In the interim, do stay the course and please start posting your work on Instagram … your following awaits here too ! :)

“MY HEAD’S SPINNING”... !  Grand Central Terminal (NYC)  Although not in the usual “sense”... Remember …”context”, this time being “literal” :) In my “travels” bounding through a Grand Central Terminal passageway adjacent to Vanderbilt Hall, a vacation promotion was going on, detailing the benefits of a new premier credit card, i.e., a joint venture between a hotel chain and a bank.  Camera … Action ! … and I was “coerced” into taking flight jumping in with both feet, the result being this unique video. This time my friends, it’s gratis, next time … you’ll have to part with some of what you house in that bank! … if you get my drift and so it goes in and around town :) ________________

Credit:  IHG Hotels / Chase  Thank you Steve, my new friend and the man enlisted to push the buttons for this very cool video presentation.  It was indeed a pleasure to have met you and a fun experience all around. I hope for our paths to cross again one day soon.  Meanwhile, do stay the course :)

“FORM OVER MATTER”… !  Fifth Avenue / 34th Street (NYC)  A sequence of four photos depicting a tutorial on art of the “swagger” :) Notice how the walking stick is in perfect alignment, i.e., parallel to the respective leg in each frame or better yet the ability of this photographer, Senz, to catch this “movement” at that precise moment :) … and so it goes in and around town _______________

Credit:  Senz Art 1 Photography @senzart1  Thank you my friend Senz for the “interception” and for this sequence of photos.  It was indeed a pleasure to have met you. I hope for our paths to cross again one day soon.  Meanwhile, do stay the course :)

“THERE ARE NO ACCIDENTS”... !  The Grand Bazaar Columbus Avenue / 77th Street (NYC)  As I was talking to one of my vendor friends, I saw this fellow snapping away and realized his lens was pointed in my direction.  In a moment of pause, we exchanged some pleasantries and upon my request, he promised to send along some of the photos he had taken before and after the introduction.  Unaware at the time, I have since learned through the efforts of my Dutch friends, Timia @timiarugenbrink and Inge @lohninge respectively, that this individual just happens to be a photographer of note, i.e., a legend in his own right, one Vincent Mentzel, from The Netherlands, aka Holland :) A very unassuming gentleman, with an already illustrious career under his belt, Vincent has photographed the Dutch royal family, world famous power brokers as well as other celebrities over the years … right through to vee.cord ?? Huh... Go figure … :) What was he thinking ?!! :) ____________________

His photographs have been published in international newspapers and magazines such as Newsweek, Time, Life, and The New York Times as well as included in many museums and private collections around the world.  And furthermore adding to his long list of credits, in 2007 he was knighted by Queen Beatrix of The Netherlands for his contributions to photography [ no doubt ] … and so it goes, for one never knows who you may meet in and around town :) _______________________

Credit:  Vincent Mentzel Photography @vincentmentzel  Thank you my new friend “Sir Vincent”, if that be the correct appellation, for your interest and for this “capture”, one of several you took that day.  You flatter me no end. It was indeed a pleasure to have met you and hope our paths cross again one day soon. In the interim, do stay the course :)
