CURRY CHEESE FRIES 🍟🧀👌yes this is a thing, it's Irish Fast Food at newly opened @donnellanschipper brothers William and Shaun have brought traditonal Irish eats from their hometown of Galway to Granville Street. Their fries are known as Chippers and they take pride in how they prepare them, in order to get the chips to be a specific thick size they built their own potato slicer, freshly cut BC potatoes are then soaked overnight to remove the starch to give a fluffier texture. Over the past 10 years, ever since I started my Vancouver Foodster blog I've attended many media tastings sometimes with other media and often ones have been set-up for me. Recently I enjoyed a media tasting @cactusclubcafe where I tasted some of the newest dishes from their chefs team @robfeenie and @coryvitiello it's quite a process on how Cactus Club develops a dish, tests it in specific locations before launching widely on their menus chain-wide. It's all about a changing seasonal menu of farm to table plant-based dishes @soil_yvr newly opened spot from Chef @karen8mc and her partner Colin in #MountPleasant, this is the Roasted carrot with sweet potato and coffee crema soup which I loved; (swipe right for more)
2) A Vegan Cheese board filled with a selection of @blueheroncheese along with seed crackers and more.

5) Umbellifer -- an outstanding dish of carrots, parsnips, dukkah
6) Whiskey & Coffee rubbed red kuri squash
7) Vanilla and Coffee, it's like a deconstructed Tiramisu that's made with house-made stroopwafel and it was delicious.
