I’ve recently made the step to seek counseling for my anxiety and depression, and although things in my life have been super chaotic it’s been really refreshing to feel proactive in seeking to better my mental health with a professional.
I’m really grateful for art. I know that I joke about how often I draw myself, but genuinely, art has always been an outlet for me. Sometimes after I finish a really emotional piece I feel like I’ve navigated how I feel, like... I’ll finish a piece and somehow understand myself better, or I understand how I feel to a new degree.
I’m really lucky I have that.
