How to get the most out of your workouts...
🌀Have a plan - know what muscles you want to train before you get to the gym. If you don’t have a workout plan to follow you can easily put one together on your own. Let’s say you want to work on your back.. google back exercises and pick a few you want to do. You can also go on bodybuilding.com and put together your own or use one of their free workouts. No excuses! ✌🏼
🌀Keep the intensity up by having shorter rest times in between sets. Depending on what I’m training and how heavy I’m going... rest times are between 30 secs - 60secs. Heavy compound movements are around 3-4 min rests.
🌀Superset- this is when you do two exercises back to back with no rest. I pretty much superset all my accessory work aka “bodybuilding” exercises. Example: lat pull downs (to failure) superset w/ dumb bell pullovers (to failure) rest 30-40 secs and then repeat 4x. You can also do trisets or do giant sets (4 exercises back to back). It keeps the intensity up and you really feel the 🔥. It’s also good when your short on time.
🌀Dropsets - this is when you do a certain weight for a certain amount of reps (or failure) and then drop down to a lower amount of weight and repeat. I do these on the last set of my exercises and I usually drop 3x till failure. Example of one of the dropsets we did in the video 👆🏼 T-Bar rows last set.. 100 lbs drop to 75 lbs drop to 50 lbs to 25lbs then rep out the bar till failure.
