The Marine Corps first introduced military working dogs to their active ranks in World War II. Since then, they have protected their fellow Marines by detecting explosives, performing combat tracking and exercising controlled aggression. They are exemplary of the loyalty and dedication required to be a part of the United States Marine Corps. Photos by Cpl Alfred V. Lopez, Cpl Reece Lodder and Cpl Hannah Perkins.
