22nd june 2018 Nearly a thousand Israeli surfers paddled out to demand the relocation of the planned nearshore gas rig 120 km into the sea, as is customary all over the world. Friday's event would be submitted to Guinness World Records for recognition. 📷💦 @galim_productions #Guinnessworldrecord #surfingcircle #surfingcircleofhonor #surfercircle #surfcircle #surfingisrael #surf #surfing @surfer_magazine @surfline @surflinelocalpro

Nearly a thousand Israeli surfers paddled out, joined hands and tried to break the world Guinness record. But there main mission is raise awareness
against an offshore gas development project in the Mediterranean Sea. "don't poison us" relocted the gas rig to 120 km from the israeli coastline.

A new world guinness recored bid -
992 surfers in a mission to broke the Guinness record for the largest surfing circle today in israel. The purpose of the event was to raise awareness regarding the disastrous prospect of half the beaches along Israel's Mediterranean coastline being ruined for generations to come due to the construction of a gas platform just 9 kilometers off of Israel's shoreline – instead of deep at sea, which is the customary approach used around the world, as it protects beaches and people alike.
