Demount of the Solomon Islands show is well underway! Unfortunately this means the #uqanthropologymuseum will be closed until 6 August while we prepare for the upcoming show From Relics to Rights.

The #uqanthropologymuseum hosted the launch of Making Mala: Malaita in Solomon Islands 1870s-1930s this afternoon. Fantastic talks by both the author Prof. Clive Moore and Prof. Brij V. Lal, AM.

Something a little bit different from the collection today. As the box suggests this is a deck of Iraq's Most Wanted playing cards collected by an Australian soldier during a tour of duty in Iraq.
