The 48 Hour Challenge is over. Search and rescue crews along with an AirMed helicopter began their search for the missing crew members this morning. At first the search was difficult, however, using improvised signaling devices the crews were able to alert searchers. All crew members from both teams we're a little tired but are doing well as they were flown off the mountains to anxiously awaiting family members.
Credit for this simulation goes to Chief Flight Paramedic Nathan Morreale and Chief Flight Nurse Deborah Witte as they gathered valuable data. To see their results of this challenge, please come see their presentation at the Association of Air Medical Services Air Medical Transport Conference, 2017 in Fort Worth TX.
Thank you to all the volunteers, contributors, and crew members who helped make this event successful.
