This post is a reminder to myself that although I’m not where I want to be, I’ve come a long way already (even if I go backwards sometimes). I took some new photos yesterday (not ready to share those yet) at the beginning of this new 12 week cut, and having a long hard look at the relaxed tummy fat didn’t make me feel great... hence this post.

Conchiglioni pasta with lean beef meatballs (from @musclefooduk) seared and then cooked in canned plum tomatoes, balsamic vinegar, red wine, smoked streaky bacon and caramelised red onions. Finished with grated granarolo quattrocento and Greek basil.

I’ve spent the last year eating relatively intuitively after becoming a lot more knowledgeable about how many calories different foods actually contain whilst previously tracking everything.

I like to think that this has led to a very slow ‘bulk’ over the last year - I haven’t lost any real fat, but I’ve definitely got stronger and put on muscle mass. It’s time however to get back on it.

Starting Monday (after getting back from skiing of course 🎿 😉) I will be back to tracking religiously for 12 weeks. Kicking off the year of seeing an ab with purpose 😜
