Let’s take a minute to chat about proper form when executing a bicep curl! As coaches, we commonly see people grab massive weights and start this odd “swing” motion to get the weight up. So here are a few tips to help you get rid of that swing and isolate the biceps!
-As soon as you pick up your weights, roll the shoulders back! Starting with correct posture is key!
-Keep those elbows pinned at your sides. This may require you to choose a lighter weight because it isolates the bicep and keeps the other muscle surrounding the bicep from taking over! -Take your time! Time under tension is PROVEN to build that muscle. Slow down, focus on keeping that swing out of it, and focus on the bicep curling the weight up!
