When you find lighting that actually makes you look like you work your back🤙🏼 Today is Physioball for us PT grad students (a much needed night of fun) and I can’t freaking wait🎉 open bar, food buffet, dancing....sounds a little more fun than the typical Saturday of studying😝 It’s totally out of my comfort zone, but it’s okay to let loose and break routine once in awhile! Worked these buns🍔 on this Friday🍟
By the end of the week, my body always feels the fatigue from my workouts and running around work all day so Friday I use as a day to do whatever I’m feeling and today, I was feeling hip thrusters and banded hip work and that’s about it🤷🏼‍♀️ it was probably only a 20 minute workout but my body was not having it today and I’ve been meaning to do some banded work so I’ll take it— although I don’t feel as accomplished as I usually do after workouts, I remind myself that not every workout needs a 100% effort— now time to sloth for the weekend🤘🏻

Last week we had a couple major competitors for the best “clean” protein bar— this week, we got 4 more ready to rustle and tussle—
@questnutrition comes into the fight arena with a very large team of many flavors— they are a fighting favorite and very well known! The texture is very chewy and doughy, flavors are spot on and the macros are 💯👏🏻
The newest flavor, Birthday cake is incredible!
@nogii_nogluten is a strong fighter as well coming in with many flavor choices— the texture and taste are incredible, kind of like a protein cereal bar with chocolate coating or chocolate drizzle, macros are very good as well— our third battler is @savantnaturals , similar to the texture of Nogii as it is like a protein rice crispy treat with drizzles of chocolate— the taste is amazing especially heated up! The macros are incredible as well being only 150-170 calories— comes in 4 strong flavors— lastly we have @sinisterlabs SinFit bars, they are the most protein tasting bars in the ring but their texture is pretty good— much like a FitCrunch bar— they have a few good flavor choices, chocolate being our favorite, macros are pretty dense for one bar but it is a dense bar in general being 83g compared to the others being about 50g - 60ish grams

Today was a test of my true patience, positivity, and resilience...I’ll spare you guys the long story but basically my day was a sh*t show of events that basically made me want to crawl back into my warm bed and start the day over again. But I just kept encouraging myself and taking the day one task at a time, and now I’m finally back in my apartment getting ready to take a hot ass shower and cuddle up in the warmest most comfortable pajamas I own.. I hate these kind of days, but it’s what makes us appreciate all the other days more. I’m so happy to be back in my room and plan on taking it easy for the rest of the night because the thought of stressing over assignments right now makes me wanna cry tbh🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ at the end of the day, I got great news that I’ve been waiting to hear about, so all is not lost on this Monday! But Tuesday please be kinder😅

It’s Saturday, 70 degrees out and I am thriving— just going to ignore the fact that tomorrow’s going to be back to 30 with a winter advisory— Soaking up as much sun rays and vitamin D as I can today🌞 My mood gets 110% better when it’s warm and sunny out because ya girl suffers from SAD (seasonal affective disorder) and I feel paralyzed when it comes to the cold months, to be honest this year was probably the worst I’ve experienced it and my want to move to SC is at an all time high— hoping this happens sooner than later because I don’t know how many more winters I can take😆what are you all up to this weekend? {There’s so much pressure}
I was talking to my track coach today and we were both admitting how we put a lot of pressure on ourselves to always do better—to always top our last performance—a fight that ends up bringing more disappointment than satisfaction. Striving to do better and be better is a wonderful thing, but it can get obsessive and turn into a detrimental state of mind. I put so much pressure on my self to “have a great long run” “kill leg day” “beat your last time or last weight” and recently I have found it exhausting to keep up with this demanding “routine.” I call it a routine because, if you’re anything like me and you love to stick to a routine, it becomes an item to check off on your list of To-Do’s to beat your personal best during a run, or lifting, or whatever—and when you can’t mentally check this off, you become disappointed in yourself—why should you put so much pressure on yourself? You’re bound to have an off day, and that’s okay. I think admitting it to someone else and hearing that they struggle with the same thing is what made me realize how this routine is only going to break me one day...I need to step back and focus on enjoying my workouts again and not fighting myself to always push for that feeling of pure exhaustion. Just some Monday ranting..anyone else struggle with this? Let me know if you have any tips!

- 1 (~100g) sad and mushy unloved lonely abandoned single banana
- 15g @legionath dutch chocolate protein
- 10g cocoa powder

- water to consistency
THATS IT! Pop in the oven for around 30 mins depending on your vessel of choice and then cut into 6 slices!

Do I look relieved that this week is over? Cause I am. Woo boy what a week—exams, assignments, practicals, patient experience—it was quite a busy week even with Monday off! But I dug deep, worked hard and praised myself when I accomplished task after task—I work best with rewarding myself each day (whether it’s with Netflix, a good meal, or a little treat) and I find that this helps me want to keep accomplishing the next task—it’s the little things that make me happy😊 Have the happiest of weekends friends—I’m bunkering down for another tough week, but if I can get through this week and all the tough weeks before—I know I can get through this next one💪🏼🙌🏻

You know those shirts that say, “Don’t talk to me before I’ve had my coffee”— I need a shirt that say “Don’t talk to me before I’ve done my workout”— when I know I’m going to get up and workout in the morning, I’d rather not talk to anyone— I’m too busy trying to motivate myself and stay positive while my mind is racing telling me otherwise— working out in the morning is difficult, especially after leg day😆 but the hardest part honestly isn’t even the workout, it’s starting...getting your mind to believe that you body can— once I start my workouts, most of the doubts go away and when I’m done, I’m so much happier and full of energy— I feel accomplished because I didn’t give up and it’s never as bad as my mind plays it out to be— anyone wanna help me make those shirts? Maybe it will be a Twinsanityfit exclusive🤔now my mind is racing but in a different and good way🤫😏
