“Verity” by Damien Hirst, stands 66.4 ft tall on the pier at the entrance to the harbour in Ilfracombe, Devon, looking out over the Bristol Channel towards South Wales. The name of the piece refers to "truth" and Hirst describes his work as a "modern allegory of truth and justice”. The statue depicts a pregnant woman holding aloft a sword while carrying the scales of justice and standing on a pile of law books. Half of the sculpture shows the internal anatomy of the pregnant woman, with the foetus clearly visible. Some people in this Victorian seaside town find it “ugly", others a a potential boost to tourism. What do you think?

Hold on to your brother! It's windy atop the South Coast Trail in Ilfracombe, England.

It's gray and misty, just how England should be. We love this ambiance for walking around.

Arrived in Devon last night and woke up to this! Our view for the next month. Who has been here? What shouldn't we miss? #sheepandsea

Found this bear at Paddington Station. Goodbye London, hello West Country. #ridetherails #paddingtonbear

Click the link in my @travelingmelmt bio to see what I did all day. Instead of touring London, I listened to my little one cough and hack. And I wrote about all the fun things to do in Lake Bled in winter. 📷 by @altitude_activities

The Grand Hall in the British Museum does impress. With free entrance, family activities, and plenty of cafes, it is well set up for kids and their people.

Met a friend for lunch today and was so pleased when we turned the corner and saw this. #chinatownlondon

Whoever said London is rainy and gray must have been pulling my leg. February in London is gorgeous.

Picnic lunch in #trafalgarsquare means there is something remarkable to see in every direction. #londoncalling
