When you really start seeing your results 😏 The lean out is real!! So, the question lies - what have I been doing?! 1. Fasted Cardio. Still gonna make a post soon explaining this in detail but for now google is a gem 2. Proper nutrition with limited carbohydrate intake. Does this mean that I cut carbs? NO!! I typically eat around 4-5 meals per day, so I limit my carbs to the first 2 meals (3 if it's leg day) 3. Very little sugar intake. As in I barely eat fruit, just occasionally and only during the day (yes I'll have sugars when I'm enjoying a cheat meal which I do have 😏 - I save it for the weekend!! - no not all weekend). The fruits that I do eat are lower in sugars - grapefruit and berries 4. I use my @sweetsweat waist trimmer and cream everyyyy single workout!! Literally, I've been using this product for years and I just don't feel right without it! And that's it πŸ€·πŸ½β€β™€οΈ there's no secret! I am strong because I have been weak. I am happy because I have been sad/depressed. I am confident because I have been self conscious. I realize and embrace my insecurities and imperfections because I have mentally beat myself up about them. We have all been there. We are ALL human. We have ALL been down. We are ALL imperfect in our own ways. Too often I see comments/DMs/etc. of people just comparing themselves to photos on social media. Using people as sources of motivation is one thing; but don't get caught up in comparing yourself to someone else's shell online. We all have a story. We are all complicated in our own ways. You cannot be someone else - so why not strive for progress? You literally have the ability to do whatever it is you want to do - there are no limits. Happy Monday everyone!! Ladies, lets talk about hair πŸ’πŸ½ How many of you are guilty of skipping out on the gym for days because you got your hair done? I've done it too πŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™€οΈ Many of you know that I'm natural, and I only get my hair straightened every few months when I get it trimmed. So this I what I do - I plan my workout week around my hair! We all make an appointment for our hair right? So we know exactly when it's going to get done. I typically have 1-2 rest days per week. So, for example, I set my appointment for Friday afternoon. I worked out Monday-Friday(before my appointment) and rested all weekend - now I'm back at it with the workouts today. When my hair is straight, I put it up in a tight ponytail and wear a headband while I workout; trying to keep it in that ponytail until it's dry. My hair is thick and takes foreverrr to dry, so this method does REDUCE poofing but it usually doesn't completing avoid it πŸ€·πŸ½β€β™€οΈ So to those of you who have seen my snaps (marissa8693) and ask me how I keep my hair and workout, I really don't for long 😩 Just another sacrifice made for these goals I guess but I won't let hair hold me back πŸ™…πŸ½ PS: I took this picture before my workout 😭 #NaturalHair #FitNaturals #BlackGirlProblems #ThickFit #CurvyFit

DRAGGED my butt out of bed for fasted cardio this morning. Always has my abs poppin! You guys know I usually do the stair master but today I decided to switch it up. Here was my routine:
2 minute incline walk: highest incline (15)

2 minute incline jog: speed 5.5-7mph incline 3-5.
And that's it πŸ€·πŸ½β€β™€οΈ just repeat for 30 minutes! βœ… .

Did you know that your CORE is much more than just your "abs?" When we implement "core" exercises, we must keep in mind that our abdominal, hip, and shoulder (yes shoulders if you ask me πŸ€·πŸ½β€β™€οΈ) complexes are all a part of that "core". πŸ”»

Almost daily, at least one of my clients asks "can we work abs today." My response is always the same - "we work abs every day." Trust me, I'm not just saying that to be a butt wipe (and of course I follow that up with a little education). Many people don't even realize that movements such as squats, push ups, step ups, lunges, etc. all work that core as well - as I always preach to my clients, you should always keep the core tight and engaged - no matter what muscle groups you're targeting; helping to protect/stabilize the lower back/spine. πŸ”»

So, within this video, I decided to include exercises that include each complex in some way. When training, it's best to think of the body as a WHOLE since, I mean, it is all connected!! I also had to add some "jumpy" stuff at the end because I just can't help myself - explosive movements are kinda my thing πŸ€·πŸ½β€β™€οΈ Happy training πŸ™ƒπŸ’ͺ🏽
