I much prefer lifting heavy things and putting them back down again but lately I've been really pushing my cardio - and it feels amazing. The endorphin high, all that rich red blood cell ooze delivering delicious oxygen and nutrients to the far reaches of my body and soul. I can feel my heart and lunges getting surging with power. Come for some sprint intervals with me sometime. ⭐️

#tbt to two years ago hanging out with @bodyrocktv_lisamarie while be stalked by @tayloroakesproductions under a bridge. looking at this photo really brings back a swell of memories. I was in a fragile state back then - I'd just moved to Toronto after an epic break up, was broke AF and lost AS (as shit). These two ladies really helped me out of my funk and showed me the way to stand on my own again. I started working with @bodyrockofficial shooting videos and it remains one of the most rewarding experiences of my work life. I'll always be grateful for these times.

A little demo of a squat to stand with overhead reach mobilization exercise. Harder than it looks for most! ⭐️ Get into a deep squat, finger tips should reach the ground, butt low, straight back, knees out.
⭐️ Reach one arm up, then the other. You're going to have to fight to get them right up by your ears! This is the challenging part.
⭐️come to standing while maintaining the arms by your ears and a straight back.
Try 10 reps! Perfecting this move will help with your squat form as well as any overhead movements.

Sometimes it's nice to forego your usual healthy breakfast for a big stack of pancakes -- especially while on a weekend cottage getaway. But I make sure to keep taking my usual supplements, like fish oil. #tbt big time to 2004. I didn't always endorse legitimate health and fitness, as seen in these ads for a body slimming centre in the Philippines. In my defence, I was a 20-year-old model, struggling to get by, and this campaign turned out to be my most lucrative as the contract was renewed for years. Until this day, I still don't quite know what they do at this centre. My point is advertisements often use models and "ideal people/ images" to sell a dream. Which is cool, I get it. Just be aware of what's influencing your reality and purchasing power. At 34 now, I'm in the best shape of my life by doing real, honest things. And check out the lack of backside I had back then!

A quick trip home on a busy day between clients for rooftop BBQ of spinach pesto chicken and loads of veges. I love summer and I love T.dot.

I'm really paying (or rather not paying) for those three weeks off galavanting around Asia. Send food -- or better yet put me to work and come train with me! For real. .

I had such an amazing time away in Asia! But as luck would have it I was struck down by a bad case of gastroenteritis on my very last day. Anyway, I had been taking my usual @genuinehealth probiotic 15 billion CFU (note the beat up box that came on my travels!). But during this time of greater digestive stress I've switched to their extra strength 50 billion CFU version. 50 billion Colony forming units (CFUs) are for short term use during certain times when more intensive therapy is required. Both versions contain 15 strains that mimic human gut flora in an allergen- and plastic-free delayed-release capsule that do not require refrigeration. It's likely shortened by gastroenteritis by a day or two and I'm already feeling better.
