The last run before the big day. 3 miles. I didn't think I was nervous, but last night I had a dream I didn't charge my watch and I forgot my running jacket. (It's supposed to be 34° on race day). Last day of #cseminichallenge ...I've been thinking all week about who my "fitness inspiration" is, and I landed on fit moms everywhere. Moms who are waking up at 4 or 5 to get to the gym so they can be home in time to tend to the kids. Moms who make treats for their kids, but pass on them themselves. Being a mom is hard. Trying to be fit and a mom is sometimes super hard. But there are moms everywhere doing just that. It can be done. I try to do it too. But I can't do it without this guy. (The one holding the very sleepy baby.) He's a great supporter of my fitness journey and he never complains about it. He's a keeper for sure! #momsofinstagram #fitmom #runningmom #ihopeiwin

12 miles in the books! My legs and body felt really good. But my stomach did not. So some adjustments need to be made to my fueling the night before-my fault. This week it's turkey sausage, but I've used chicken, steak, deli meat,'s a yummy combination. #cseminichallenge. Hi! I'm Rachel. This is the oldest and youngest of my 4 kids. I'm training for a half marathon and I'm excited to take on this challenge and see where my fitness journey will take me. I first heard about @cleansimpleeats when her husband was on @fit2fat2fit ...after watching I was intrigued about their nutritional approach and after some googling I found the #csechallenge.

10 miles. Up the highest point in Nebraska. (I'm not sure if that's true, but it felt like it!)...800ft elevation climb, similar to the half marathon in doing-so it felt good to complete it. I can do this.

Making faces at my cranky baby after an 8 mile run. I'm still training, just haven't been tracking. With my half marathon less than a month away, I've decided I'm tracking everything...including what I do on days I don't run. (Spoiler: I lift and do HIIT)...and I'm going to start tracking my food. I'm sure no one really cares about any of this, except for me. But if IG is good for one's documenting. I looked over the course of the half marathon I'll be doing. I knew it was more trail than not, but I had forgotten about the climb. It's a hilly course. Mile repeats. Only completed 3 of the 4. I was short on time becausemy lifting went long. But if I'm being honest, I chose to lift longer...I was nervous to do 1600s for speed.
