A blurry picture to say, I wore shorts and a tank on Monday for my run and full cold gear today! It was in the 30s! (Although I probably could have done without one of the layers, but still!)

4 miles in Brooks Pureflow. The first time I've run in a 4mm drop. A little odd at first, but I think I may love it. But too soon to tell. I'll find out though. 😀

This girl asks to go running with me nearly every day. Today seemed like the right day! After my run, I ran 1 mile with my best girl. She's a natural runner. We did 1 mile in 15 minutes-with walk breaks of course. Not bad for this 1st graders first time!

It's been slow getting my mileage back up. I've only been running 2 days a week and strictly sticking to the 10% rule. But pain free-which is really great. (Left leg...recovering stress fracture and calf strain--so I remember which leg of it happens in the future! 😂)

I love any excuse to set new goals...the start of a new month, new week, new year, new anything... so this new school year is a great time for more goals! And this school year it'll be MARATHON training. I only plan to do one marathon in my life and this is my year to do it!

The last run before the big day. 3 miles. I didn't think I was nervous, but last night I had a dream I didn't charge my watch and I forgot my running jacket. (It's supposed to be 34° on race day). I don't know why I'm so nervous. I'm not trying to win. I'm just trying to finish! 😳 #runnersofinstagram #halfmarathontraining #motherrunner #morningworkout #love

Last day of #cseminichallenge ...I've been thinking all week about who my "fitness inspiration" is, and I landed on fit moms everywhere. Moms who are waking up at 4 or 5 to get to the gym so they can be home in time to tend to the kids. Moms who make treats for their kids, but pass on them themselves. Being a mom is hard. Trying to be fit and a mom is sometimes super hard. But there are moms everywhere doing just that. It can be done. I try to do it too. But I can't do it without this guy. (The one holding the very sleepy baby.) He's a great supporter of my fitness journey and he never complains about it. He's a keeper for sure! #momsofinstagram #fitmom #runningmom #ihopeiwin

12 miles in the books! My legs and body felt really good. But my stomach did not. So some adjustments need to be made to my fueling the night before-my fault. I need to be more careful about what I eat. #cseminichallenge I hope to keep running for many years to come. It benefits my physical and mental health. 😃 #runnersofinstagram #motherrunner #womensrunningcommunity #love

#cseminichallenge Day 5: I LOVED the Almond Joy shake from the Fall plan...I had it for breakfast everyday for weeks! Every now and then I have it again. Today was one of those days...this was my lunch! #macros #countingmacros #lunch

8.5 miles in 24° weather. I'm going to miss running in the cold. But I have a feeling I have a few more weeks of it. (It snowed briefly later this morning. ❄) #runnersofinstagram #runninglove #motherrunner #morningworkout

#cseminichallenge Day 3: I eat this for breakfast nearly every day. Egg whites, vegetables, and another meat protein. This week it's turkey sausage, but I've used chicken, steak, deli meat, tuna...it's a yummy combination. This is also proof that I start my day with the best of nutritional intentions. 😀 #macros #breakfast #halfmarathontraining

#cseminichallenge. Hi! I'm Rachel. This is the oldest and youngest of my 4 kids. I'm training for a half marathon and I'm excited to take on this challenge and see where my fitness journey will take me. I first heard about @cleansimpleeats when her husband was on @fit2fat2fit ...after watching I was intrigued about their nutritional approach and after some googling I found the #csechallenge.
