This is the instantly recognisable Baltimore Beacon in County Cork. Once a welcomed sign of home for many sailors returning to the harbour now, the beacon is a photographer’s favourite and the perfect place to go to absorb the vast ocean views. The quaint coastal village of Baltimore sits on the edges of West Cork and prides itself on its warm welcomes and wonderful waterways. Take to the waters for a spot of whale watching or relax and chat with friends over a cup of freshly brewed coffee at the dainty Glebe Gardens and Café. Whatever the purpose of your visit here, it is sure to be a memorable one! 📸 (@misswalters_ch) #loveireland #ireland #irland #irlande #irlanda #cork #baltimore #coast #seaside #whalewatching #food

Rising from the barren landscapes of County Donegal is the formidable Mount Errigal. This peak stands at 2,300 feet tall and is a popular spot along the Wild Atlantic Way for hiking enthusiasts. Not only known for its striking height and challenging routes, there is often an unusual rose-tinted glow illuminating from the quartzite rock during sunset. Cameras at the ready folks! 📸 (@imagesbyeverest) #loveireland #ireland #irland #irlande #irlanda #wildatlanticway #mountain #mounterrigal #hiking #views #donegal

Imagine studying here... Opening its doors in 1849, the National University of Ireland Galway was established to provide non-denominational university education, and is now the largest and oldest university in the west of Ireland. In such a beautiful setting it must be difficult to focus on studies! 📸 (@marialeonstyle) #loveireland #ireland #irland #irlande #irlanda #wildatlanticway #university #galway #erasmus #visitireland #instaireland #discoverireland

Hey @MontyHallsFamily trip back again! There is a deep and profound association with the sea along the west coast, typified by this young fisherman. His family have fished out of this bay for at least three centuries, and he was passionate, knowledgeable, and handled his boat like a legend - all the while with the memory of his ancestors in his bones. Check out the video in the bio to hear him talk of his homeplace with pride. Hi again, Monty here sharing another image from @MontyHallsFamily trip to Donegal. It should be on everyone’s bucket list to ride horseback along a white sand beach across a rugged Atlantic shore. We were so lucky as a family to tick this one off in the capable hands of the Tullagh Bay Equestrian Centre. Personally, I felt I’d gone full Poldark – glorious… #loveireland #ireland #irland #irlanda #irlande #visitireland #instaireland #discoverireland #donegal #wildatlanticway #tripidea

Pretty as a picture! This is Ross Castle, County Kerry’s majestic 15th century stronghold set within the idyllic surrounds of Killarney National Park. Legend has it that O’Donoghue Mór, who built the castle, lies sleeping beneath the waters of Lough Leane. It’s said he rises from his slumber on the first morning of May every seven years to circle the lake on the back of a beautiful white horse. If you’re lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the phantom you’re said to be guaranteed good luck for the rest of your life! There must be lots of wishful visitors at Ross Castle on the first of May! 📸 (@nataliediscala) #loveireland #ireland #irland #irlande #irlanda #wildatlanticway #rosscastle #castle #killarney #kerry #legend #myth

Once upon a time in Connemara, County Galway, a love blossomed so strongly that it will never be forgotten. In the mid-19th century, newlyweds Mitchell and Margaret Henry came upon Kylemore with its delightful lake and woods, and remarked how it would be idyllic place to live. Just a few years later, Mitchell made Margaret’s dreams come true and Kylemore Abbey was built to house the couple’s ever-growing family. Tragically, it was also to be Margaret’s final resting place as she contracted a fever just a few years after the castle was completed and sadly passed away. To find out more about Kylemore Abbey, check the link in our bio. 📸 (@thibaut_octave) #loveireland #irland #irlande #irlanda #ireland #discoverireland #visitireland #instaireland #wildatlanticway #galway #kylemore #romantic
