TONIC Design  A look behind the scenes of our Architectural studio

Utilising high ceilings and creating depth with curved partitions.

We recently completed a small renovation to a property in Bardon. The clients are friends of our business, and we worked closely with both client and builder to maximise locality and make functional changes to suit the busy family. This fixed picture window is one such change which brings in light and provides extensive vistas over greater Brisbane. Thanks to @lionspridebuilding for the build and his photographer @emlynjones_photography 📸🛠

We recently came across Brixx by @dedon_official. The full suite is on their website, but the range is incredible. A flexible system of rectangular modules designed to allow you to interchange and reconfigure your setting at any time. Also, did we mention they have triangular side tables that can be matched to your colour selection.

A central timber veneer counter commands the space in this fitout by Labotory in South Korea. The sushi counter’s side panels are made of small bricks often used to clad the exterior of buildings in Japan.⠀

An elegant visual entryway way for this renovation in Catalonia, Spain by @hihastudio

We're finding a peaked trend toward curves in many elements of our design work lately. While some trends come and go we can't help be warmed by the soft familiarity of times gone by and beg them, wholeheartedly to stay. #giveuscurves #giveusarches

Garden View House concept to completion. Our hero shot of the kitchen space. A few years on and our clients are still enjoying this stunning project.

Appreciation of the elements. How important is natural stone to you in your renovation and how would you use it?

We have thoroughly enjoyed the direction of ‘Little House’ in Brazil by @daherjardimarquitetura. It’s often the times you're able to create with less, that makes a project outcome all the more spectacular. Lovely work!

A hospitality fit out by Labotory located in South Korea offering vistas through frosted glass for interest and mirrors housed in brass, giving a rich contrast to the soft views externally.
