TJ Benson  'Exhume the bodies' For queries email Tj.benson@ymail.com

As promised I read from my short story which appears in the maiden issue of Saraba magazine at Ake Festival some hours ago to a kind crowd. Copies sold out before our event was over. Grateful to Ayobami Adebayo, Emmanuel Iduma and Dami Ajayi for the honor.

I will be on a panel with some of my heroes for the Saraba Launch at Ake Festival in Kuto, Abeokuta come Thursday. I will be reading from my work published in the issue 'Transitions'

I miss my nysc bestie so so bad. Been like how many years? My first editor fa 😥 Sigh. Dude still looks like a baby and hasnt lost his fro so good to see that some things haven't changed. I don't call @psalmsen_ but know I love you. I miss gossiping and throwing shade at midnight with you. I miss your stew which was sweet but fire on the tongue. I miss twining infinix hot with you although i suspect mine was inferior 😑 It's not your birthday but i saw a video of you and started catching all the feels. I wish i took more photos of you. Remember how hard I had to convince you to pose for this picture?

My work at the @photocarrefour.abj exhibition last month shot by fellow exhibitionist and cool guy @iampeterobasi with whom I had a thrilling chat

#throwback to 2015 with @clintonafogu in Minna, Niger State. When I was shooting an alternative art photo book I had no idea how to make my models look like what I felt/thought. But Clinton was just excellent, anticipating my camera and natural lighting. Sadly I lost my laptop in an accident and my publisher's two Imacs crashed so the 80 something shortlisted images were lost. I can never retrieve those images. Clinton didn't stop. This year he has gone from one height to another, made big moves. So proud

October Ends

I didn't even take multiple shots. This is the beauty of photographing another photographer. Once i wrapped @jbmairubutu head he just leaned on the wall and 📷

On Naming
To name a thing is to capture it. To capture a self, to capture myself in this body at 25 is to give it a familiar form it can return to, to capture myself at 25 is to comprehend myself at 25 because i never knew i would reach this age what with the weaknesses of my body and it's history of abuse. #selfportrait assist by @danniizii collar bones by mom.
