Preparing to Pack // Hay, Australia
Yesterday I arrived home from my last weekend away / overnight trip in Australia.
As a result my backpack is now empty - ready and waiting to be filled up once more, this time in preparation for flying back to the UK next Saturday.
My good friend Georgina @galow22 and I are off for an epic road trip around Scotland, England and maybe France too, before further unplanned adventures occur - so far with the potential to include photography in Paris, volunteering in France, friends and work in Morocco, and maybe teaching English in Poland too - as well as family time in England.
The most important items for me to pack are my camera, batteries, passport, wallet and chargers; everything else is secondary.
Clothes are best to be dark, durable, and versatile. Couple of pairs shoes, a jacket, scarf, thermals, swimmers, quick drying Turkish towel, and all the basics. That's about it.
Laptop will be coming too for writing and editing images, and a worldwide power adapter - plus an Australian powerboard.
Some people see that as a luxury, but it has saved me time on so many occasions I feel it's worth it - plus for me it means I can charge my phone, camera and laptop all at once as powerpoints can be limited.
Throw in some earbuds and a plastic spoon, and we're pretty much done.
Countdown is on!! 6 more days of work, less than 12 until we fly. Woo!!
