With only 4 weeks to get in shape before our Maldives trip, I realised there was no real time to build muscle. My main goal was to obtain abs so my decision was to lose as much fat as possible. For the first 2 weeks I switched to intermittent fasting along with a ketogenic diet plan. Within those first 2 weeks I had dropped 12lbs. In the last 2 weeks I stuck with just the ketogenic diet. By the time I arrived in the Maldives I was around 8-9% body fat and had dropped from 172lbs to 158lbs. Although I felt this method of dieting wasn’t great for building muscle but it was definitely amazing for fat loss. My training consisted of my usual heavier sessions from monday-sat, mixed in with daily 30 min cardio and a 30 min ab workout. In the last week I opted for all light weight training, all sets going until failure, I kept my ab workout at 30 mins but increased my walking cardio to 1 hour a day. All that effort was definitely worth it. Now that Im back its back to bulking and eating more carbs and calories which is fun. 7 more weeks to put on mass then I will go for a 8 week cut this time around.
