Been taking magic fairy dust @jamescant_ recommended called Delta Zone. Between this, weekly floating and eating like an adult again, I’M FINALLY SLEEPING and I’m feeling closer to myself again. Even having vivid, colourful dreams which I remember when I wake up - apparently that’s a tell-tale for good sleep. I’m even dancing while I drive again 👊🏼 .

I’ve never had a problem sleeping - something I took for granted. Since I haven’t been, I’ve realised how important sleep is for adulting!

I’m in a better mood. I have the energy to cook proper food for myself. I’m getting so much done in a day! Still not training except for the some Zumba and @studio_phoenix.au sessions but right now lifting heavy is not a priority. It’s on my short term goals list tho:
1️⃣ Sleep ✔️
2️⃣ Feel human again✔️
3️⃣ Powerlifting training 😜

There’s so much bullshit on social media: facades, bravado & photo shop. It’s way more gratifying to put on a persona - to only let people to see what you want them to.

Even my 9 & 10 year olds ask me: “How many likes did that get Mum?!” Because... who doesn’t want to be adored?
.

I never want to be that person who, if you walked into my house at any given time, you’d think “Who’s this? That’s not how she portrays herself on instagram!”
.

I’m the first to admit that I’m human. I’m flawed. I yell at my kids, melt down. Fight with my husband. Swear. My house is often a mess. But I’m nothing if not authentic! I’ve gained a lot of weight this year. But you know that. Because I still post full length shots. Because if you see me in real life, I can’t photo shop myself! Plus - who cares?

What matters to me is that I’m real. I often think about my daughters - it’s almost as if they’d forgive me for anything!! Because I’ve never pretended to be something I’m not. Their love is unconditional. That’s what matters.

Being a powerlifter brings me inexplicable and endless JOY!

Walking into the gym, programme in hand, psyching myself to crush my lifts - I feel infallibly strong!
.

BUT
.

This year kicked my ass. Stage 4 Adrenal Fatigue is no joke! I’m in unchartered territory where I no longer get a say - my body just went “NAH, you are not listening 👉🏼 you are out of resources 👉🏼 I am now forcing you to rest!”
.

I am now ‘in recovery’ which means I still have a long way to go. As soon as I get some energy, I use it all up with great excitement and before I know it, I’m back in bed! SO frustrating, lol! 😩
.

Training is when & what I feel like: Zumba, infrared cardio at @studio_phoenix.au and movement sessions with @coachblaquecsf .

I have now accepted that, for now, this is my new programme:
1️⃣ 3 x sets of Rest, rest & more rest
2️⃣ 2 x meals of brain & gut nourishing food
3️⃣ 24/7 Reducing emotional stress
4️⃣ 8-9 x hours of sleep
5️⃣ 20 mins x direct sunlight 1st thing 🌅 to help reset my circadian rhythm for better sleep
6️⃣ Barefoot walks on the beach (helps with anxiety)
7️⃣ Fortnightly x Methylated B12 shots 💉
8️⃣ Daily gratitude for my health, my family, my lovely husband, my beautiful friends who have stuck by me through this rough patch and my Faith.

Things could certainly be worse. It seems to have been a tough year for a lot of people. But I’m looking forward to living up to my IG handle again soon. I’m the meantime though... 💤😉

Not much lifting 💪🏼happening atm. Bit of Zumba tho!

Too busy focusing on recovering from that pesky Stage 4 Adrenal Fatigue I’ve had all year. Apparently it isn’t a linear 📈process 🙄

Also... had our first ever anaphylactic allergic reaction this week. Miss 8 went from zero to screaming and red hot welts covering her entire body in 30 seconds. Fun 👎🏼 We are the now proud owners of an 💉epipen.

About to jump on a plane to Adelaide today for a few days. Wine farms 🍷 Local oysters 🐚 & Kangaroo Island. Bliss! Hair on point 👌🏼 Selfie or it didn’t happen 😜

👆🏼This body 👆🏼can deadlift over 130kgs. But this body is powerful far beyond it’s barbell strength.

This body has created 3 incredible little girls. It’s survived 3 caesarians - 1st one under general anaesthetic.
.

This body nursed her newborn perfect baby girl born at 40 weeks, as she flatlined after 25 1/2 hours on life support . This body (somehow) survived burying my beautiful little girl.
.

This body burnt out this year - good and proper🔥 It’s also 10kgs heavier since. But this body is loved by my husband of 16 years.
.

If you think my body is strong? You should see my mind! It’s stronger, even more powerful and a freakin force to be reckoned with.

Who’da thunk I could be so at peace with this body? An unstoppable mindset is a beautiful thing.
