On Friday, May 5th, 2017 the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk will be hosting Cinco De MarshWalk—an event to celebrate the classic Mexican holiday with a bit of southern flair. The event will begin with $5 Cuervo margaritas and $5 ‘fiesta food,’ at all Marsh Walk restaurants from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm; the party continues throughout the evening.
The event is free to the public—themed drinks and food will be available for purchase at all MarshWalk businesses—there will be plenty of party favors, authentic cuisine and drink specials. In addition, there will be a competition to see which MarshWalk bartender makes the best margarita.
Beginning at 6:00 pm, there will be three authentic, local Mexican folklore dancers from Coastal Fusion Latin Dance making their way down the MarshWalk. Also from Coastal Fusion, Samantha Cassidy and Michael Honeycutt will demo Bachata and Salsa dances.
The public also has the opportunity to pose for pictures with a pair of donkeys (provided by 5-star farms) and props in the Wahoos parking lot.
After visiting the eight MarshWalk locations; Bovines, Wahoos, Drunken Jack’s, Bubba’s Love Shack, Creek Ratz, Dead Dog Saloon, Claw House, and Tuna Shak; guests who collected wristbands from each will have the opportunity to break open the piñata at Claw House for a chance to win $1,500 in cash and prizes at 9:00pm.
The MarshWalk has been a well-renowned part of the local community for many years. Events at the MarshWalk bring members of the local community closer to each other and the community they live in. The MarshWalk also appeals to those visiting the Myrtle Beach area from all over the world. Cinco De MarshWalk is sure to be a well-attended event that benefits both those in the community and the businesses that serve them. We are looking forward to seeing many at the event, giving the public an exciting and unique opportunity to explore a prized piece of the Myrtle Beach Area.
