Seoul. You have been sheer magic. You have moved me to tears so many times. I'm so grateful to have seen and have experienced this golden land. Kamsahamnida. Missing you so much today. ❤️💛💙 #koreatraveltowellness #korea #seoul #bukchonhanokvillage #vscocam

i believe if there’s any kind of God it wouldn’t be in any of us, not you or me but just this little space in between. if there’s any kind of magic in this world it must be in the attempt of understanding someone sharing something. i know, it’s almost impossible to succeed but who cares really? the answer must be in the attempt // the brilliant and striking lines for me from linklater’s glorious before sunrise (1995). a film whose youth, insights and wisdom i feel i am living right now 💙 #vscocam #koreatraveltowellness #airasiaph

I just sat in a chair under the beautiful sky all night and it still doesn't feel quite real.

The last few weeks were like pages flipped by the wind. I found myself on the last days of the holiday season rushing around the city and spending golden time with the wonderful tribe of people I've come to love before going home for a break. It wasn't until I found myself tearing up in the arms of @riarandombnwstuff when it really hit me how quickly this year went by, and it's time to welcome another year for us to live moments of joie de vivre.

We feel a pull to a place for a reason. Perhaps it's the people it calls over and over, inviting to meet us, to ramble on with us. And perhaps right underneath every action and every decision we take, there is a spur of the moment, a silent and potent force that patches the strings together with purpose and reason. Spewing out golden lessons for us to catch and swallow until they nourish us to grow into the next skin. To hell with coincidences. They don't exist. I believe that.

To all the beautiful souls I've met and reunited with this past year in Japan, Korea and of course in the Philippines, thank you for stumbling into this path with me. As we're about to dip into a new realm, a new year ahead of us, I'm thinking of every single one of you as rays of light dancing and revolving around the world.

Until we wander around again in another somewhere. A different air, a different time, still spinning and laughing under the same sky, the same stars. 💛 #vscocam

Getting in the New Year's eve spirit with this Robert Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon that's been aged for years. Perfect when paired with steak and pasta but I'd say it complements my cheese and charcuterie board just as flawlessly as well! 💛

At the Huwon Secret Garden, a rear garden in the Changdeokgyung palace that flows naturally with nature and was used as a place of leisure by members of the royal family (my ancestors would probably be so happy I visited! 😆😂). Walking around this garden made me feel like I'm from the noble family! At 78 acres, this beautiful space takes up about sixty percent of the palace grounds. Wouldn't mind writing thousands of poems while enjoying a cup of green tea (or wine 😆) in the Juhamnu Pavilion. 💛❤️💙 #koreatraveltowellness #passionpassport #vscocam

One of the worst things I do is scroll through my own Instagram and/or Facebook feed and compare my current happiness (or lack thereof) to my past happiness, or a selective part of my past happiness. Sometimes, I do tend to forget though that of course on here, I gravitate towards sharing the happier images (because it would probably be annoying and morbid to go around documenting/sharing everything I'm unhappy about) and try to let go of the negative parts. Next year, I will look at this photo, and remember it's one of the favorite photos I've ever taken. I'll remember it was one of the best sunsets of my life. I'll remember traversing our way to Gyeongbokgung Palace only to find out it's closed (because there's a mass demonstration at the plaza right outside of it). I'll remember getting lost and ending up in another rally in Seoul Station. I'll remember surfing from one subway line to the next. I'll remember hiking up to Hoehyeon-dong, waiting in line for almost an hour, riding the cable car full of thrilled locals and tourists alike), the transit to Yejang-dong. I'll remember running around Mt. Namsan (running because I have to make it to the observatory before it gets dark 😔). I'll remember witnessing the misty sunset slowly unfolding, the unbearable cold ❄️, the couples hanging love locks, I will remember contentment. I will not remember how I cried because my hands hurt so much and I couldn't find my friend, Clang. I will not remember how lonely I felt. Then, I will probably have the courage to compare my life - the one I'll currently be living, wrapped in triumphs and difficulties - to a blurred memory of pure happiness from a year ago. 💞 #vscocam #koreatraveltowellness @airasiaph

It was one of those beautiful late autumn/early winter afternoons in Seoul, and I remember wandering around the island, pretending the cool breeze doesn't bother me at all. Somehow, the melancholic weather, the cortexes of different trees lighting the lanes even when it is dark, that exact time and space, made me feel so calm and at home. It’s cheesy, but it’s true, and it’s why I love this place. People glamorized Nami Island, but it clenched no thrall over me until then. Just this one particular moment while walking along Reed Woods Lane and I thought, right here. It was like my whole body took a deep breath. And yearned. #koreatraveltowellness #vscocam #passionpassport

Last traces of autumn.

I think we will forever wonder where time goes. But I don't see it as a bad thing, as long as we have lived a loved life. It's just us looking back in retrospect, so we wander, as all humans do. That's one of the greatest things about us.
We always hold on two things for dear life: the present moment or the life that is happening now, and nostalgia. Ironically, the complete alternates of each other. But in my universe, they're the perfect lovers, making love to each other with ebb and flow. The present moment is where the bliss seeps in and sends euphoria to the stars inside of us. But nostalgia for people, things and places comes after, clinging to us with this hauntingly beautiful feeling.
To want to endure life again because it's just too good not to. To live in the moment until it breaks in your soul, then you look back and it's gone. Leaving you with its very last traces concealed in the depths of your bones for you to be able to taste over and over again. That's being human and my god, it's the most beautiful fucking thing to be. 💛 #koreatraveltowellness #Seoul #joseondynasty #vscocam

I love borders. November is the border between autumn and winter; it is a beautiful transition between winter's longing and autumn's end. Twilight is the border between day and night, and the shore is the border between the ocean and land. The border is longing; when both have fallen in love but still haven't said anything. The border is to be on the way. It is this same journey that is the most important thing.
I can honestly spend my days on this tiny half-moon shaped island. Although there isn’t much here, the serenity, stillness and eternal beauty of this whole place makes me want to stay, forever. 💙 #vscocam

Petite France, a French cultural village set in the Korean countryside - Gapyeong, serves both as a French cultural village and a youth training facility (Goseong Youth Training Center). The village consists of 16 French-style buildings where visitors can lodge and experience French food, art, crafts, design and culture.
The concept of Petite France epitomises ‘flowers, stars, and the Little Prince.’ The village contains a memorial hall dedicated to Saint-Exupery, the author of the celebrated French novel, Le Petit Prince (1943) and as such it is called the Little Prince theme park. Lucky if you visit around Christmas time because it transforms into a magical place around this season of the year. 💛 #airasiaph #koreatraveltowellness #seoulsisters #pètitefrance @airasiaph

Travelers wandering through the uphill alley of Gahoe-dong, enjoying the beauty of Seoul despite the bitter cold weather this late fall/early winter. Bukchon Hanok Village is a historic village dating back almost 600 years to the Joseon Dynasty which features hanok or Korean traditional houses. Bukchon means “northern village.” The quaint residential village lies in a hilly neighborhood north of Cheonggyecheon Stream and between two royal palaces, Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace. Unlike other hanok villages (such as Namsangol Hanok Village), Bukchon was not created for tourists and it is a residential village inhabited by Seoulites. The best place within Bukchon to experience the old hanok atmosphere may be Gaehoe-dong. Here, hundreds of hanok sit shoulder to shoulder. #koreatraveltowellness #airasiaph #vscocam #bukchon #korea
