Top left: 1998 When I took my curls for granted. I loved my curls then but also loved the versatility of going straight as well. But my curls always bounced back.
Bottom Left: 2015 After years of blow frying, dying and flat irons. You know those ones that go up to 450 degrees...yea those. No more curls, just strings. Ugh!!! Right Side: Present 2017 Healthy, bouncy, restored curls. Even with color I can maintain the health of my curls using deep conditioners with heat (@thermalhaircare hot head), natural products free from sulphates and silicones and of course NO HEAT!
So Curly World even tho our journey's have hills and valley's, bask in the glory of the hills.
Photo document your journey so you can truly see your progress. THIS IS SO IMPORTANT!!! I can't stress this enough. There are so many times when we feel discouraged and looking back on photos help us see how far we've come.
Never become discouraged by looking at other curlies and comparing yourself. Fall in love with YOUR OWN CURLS! Take inspiration from our wonderful curly community but dont compare!
