The Refuge For DMST  The Refuge Ranch is a long-term, residential, therapeutic community for girls, minors through age 19, who have been rescued out of sex trafficking.

To help out this holiday season, check out The Refuge's Adopt an Angel program. The drop off dates are coming up on December 11 and 17. The link is in our bio for more information.

Often, when a survivor arrives at The Refuge Ranch, she brings with her only a few personal items. In order to properly welcome each girl to her new home, we hope to provide her with the following necessities. This holiday season, grab your friends and family and “adopt an angel” for the holidays by collecting all the items she will need on this list. Link in our bio!

The Refuge Ranch is hiring! We are looking to expand our team of Direct Care Staff so that we can appropriately and sensitively surround each survivor with the services she needs for her individualized healing plan -- what we call The Refuge Circle of Care. Head to the link in our bio to see our job openings!

A mere two years ago The Refuge Ranch was an empty field, but it glowed with the potential to help child sex trafficking survivors. As we celebrated our groundbreaking, Brooke Crowder, Founder and CEO, declared, “Today represents more than breaking ground, it represents the uniting of compassionate hearts and strategic minds who want to declare: Our children matter!” Every day since then has been a declaration that our children matter. This has been the foundation behind our construction process and will continue to be the foundation behind the work we do with the survivors who are finding healing at The Refuge Ranch today.

Now you can get your Christmas shopping done early while supporting The Refuge - at no cost to you. By showing up in our local communities, we make a global impact. With each step we took on Saturday at the Walk for Freedom, we fought for a world where child sex trafficking does not exist. Thank you to @thekey2free @safeatx for joining us on Saturday at the @a21 Walk for Freedom and fighting for a world where more of us are against slavery than for it. Our voices are loudest when we come together! #walkforfreedom | 📷: @toloveamockingbird

This morning hundreds of advocates gathered in downtown Austin. Single-file and all wearing black, we walked our local streets, sidewalks and bridges to illustrated a message that cannot be ignored: slavery still exists. “We believe that when we all show up locally , we will have an impact globally . In our cities, in our communities, in our world. One step at a time, we fundraise and walk to see a world without slavery.” Thank you @a21 for putting on this #walkforfreedom

Throwback to The Refuge Ranch last October. Just one year ago today, many of the buildings had no walls, roofs, electricity, or plumbing but are now filled with beautiful décor and are home to survivors of child sex trafficking. Today we are thankful for how far we have come since October 2017.

Yesterday was such a treat! Thank you to all who played a part in making this @bigloveubu event a success and to all those who attended to eat some delicious BBQ, listen to some lovely music and learn more about The Refuge Ranch.

It's officially fall at The Refuge Ranch and art classes are in full swing.

Multidimensional art activities such as painting, drawing and ceramics can often act as an outlet for survivors to externalize and free their inner thoughts and emotions, or as a way to decorate the ranch for their favorite upcoming holidays.

Dia de los Muertos is around the corner and The Refuge Ranch is ready!

A lot has changed since these photos were taken a couple months ago. If you want to see photos of the construction progress out at The Refuge Ranch, click the link in our bio. . . .

What was once an empty field is now a restorative, therapeutic ranch that survivors call their home.

See all these MP3 players? We want to give a huge thank you to the @pf_police Blue Guardian Mentorship Program for their awesomely fast collection drive to give music to the survivors at The Refuge Ranch! •

PPD's Blue Guardian Program was created to establish positive connections with children who may have had previous contact with officers during emergencies or other traumatic incidents. "'They get to see us as human beings, not just as a uniform that shows up on the worst day of their life. That's important,' Executive Lt. Tricia Mirabelle told KXAN. •

The Refuge for DMST is very grateful for their help -- and we're looking forward to welcoming ya'll back out to the ranch soon!
