Breaking my fast at 11:45am with hands down, one of my favorite things to eat. My life is one big bowl of chia seed pudding 🀀 Even better cause it’s free (yasss to birthday meal coupons πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ). Looking forward to tackling my never-ending to-do list πŸ’ͺ🏼 and so thankful I don’t have to commute to DC for the next two weeks πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ

Started off this morning on a horrible foot. Instead of doing my guided meditation πŸ§˜πŸ»β€β™€οΈ I got sucked into wedding planning BS. More on my story if you wanna know the details.
For the most part, the majority of our wedding has been planned and paid for by me. It’s really hard! Planning from a distance and balancing the budget. I am usually the most organized person but I really wasn’t with this. Not gonna lie, I definitely cried over letting myself down instead of recognizing all the work I have done. The countless emails with vendors, running errands, traveling to and from our wedding destination. It all adds up! Throw in eating well, workouts, job, commuting and every day stressors.

I’ve been looking forward to this hours (thanks @balancedmissbailey for making me crave it 🀀). I missed lunch today so I didn’t hold back when it came to this beautiful @cava bowl. Supergreens, brown rice, lentils, roasted veggies, hummus and almost ALL the toppings. Paired with a @spindriftfresh and I am a happy panda. πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘ŒπŸΌ

There is no such thing as too much almond butter. πŸ’―

With a limited eating window each day (a principle of #intermittentfasting ☝🏼) it has meant I can eat more of what I want. Before I would try to portion out my day and eat little by little from 6am - 8pm at night. I never really ended up having what I wanted πŸ˜• Now my typical day is only 2 big meals and maybe 1-2 snacks. Some days I don’t even feel like snacking. I have really become aware...listening to my internal cues for hunger πŸ‘πŸΌ and not just basing my day around old habits.

I’ve gone back and forth for days about what I wanted to post to mark the beginning of a new decade...
Today I listened to my daily gratitude guided meditation πŸ§˜πŸ»β€β™€οΈ and it talked about the little things. Even when life can have a lot of pain, there are so things that can be going right.
My 20’s, even with some pretty horrible moments...were also filled with so much awesome.
Graduation πŸŽ“
New friends πŸ‘―β€β™€οΈ
New home 🏑
New job πŸ’Ό
Engaged πŸ’...and probably those are just the major events.
For my 30’s I want to continue that trend. Find good in myself, others and just life in general. Realize for a lot of things β€œit ain’t the deep.” πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ
Thanks to everyone who messaged me, mailed me cards and came out to celebrate my birthday (thank you @smirk_it for the awesome crown πŸ‘‘). This community seriously knows how to make a girl feel loved β™₯️
P.S.: I need to get back on top of my picture game. I only have a handful of pictures from yesterday and never even got a group photo 😭 Maybe that is a β€œresolution” for my 30’s πŸ˜‰

Speaking of which, mentally I am finally coming around to a better place. I am so glad I committed myself to my nightly accountability post. Last week could’ve easily turned into a hot mess, but having that post, helped me keep it together even though I felt so run down.
Right now I am riding πŸ„β€β™€οΈthe waves 🌊 of sheer excitement πŸ˜† and then straight up panic 😟 Sleep isn’t great πŸ‘ŽπŸΌ and I get woken up by seating charts dancing in my head. Now I understand why people elope πŸ˜†

Easter Bunny 🐰 brought a basket for me and Drew that is πŸ’―

β€œChicken” fried rice 🍚 on the menu for an early lunch. Used @gardein tenders for the first time and I am sold πŸ’― Mixed @traderjoeslist vegetable fried rice with an entire bag of frozen peas and carrots πŸ₯•Busy weekend ahead (have a feeling every weekend for the next month is going to be this way πŸ€ͺ). Embracing all the downtime I can get πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ

I am trying reeeeaaallllyyyyy hard to pull myself out of the sadness, funk, whatever you want to call it. I have purposely withdrawn myself because I know I just can’t be a good friend right now. I need to prioritize me and that’s okay. I spend so many of my days being that support for others that I often neglect myself.

I am struggling HARD right now (and if you must know, its a lot more than just wedding stuff on my plate).

As much as I want to disconnect myself from social media completely, I know I need to post to keep myself accountable and it helps me keep my routine so I don’t tumble even more. I would probably be worse if I just deleted all my apps and just kept to myself.

Work day ends early which meant a rare D.C. lunch date with bae β™₯️ Enjoying a beer and half of this vegetarian flat bread πŸ€—πŸ€€ Heading soon to my mom’s retirement party πŸŽ‰ she has worked for 41 years! She is so inspiring and I am forever grateful for the work ethic she has taught me πŸ‘πŸΌ

Bring on the veggie bowl for the crazy day ahead. Slowly checking away my to-do list βœ… but it all just feels very overwhelming 😣 Making sure I keep my food on key πŸ”‘ because I need every ounce of energy I can get for the next month πŸ’ͺ🏼
